Don: Can you send me a copy of the bicycle article. I'd like to put it in the archives with, what I tend to think, is one of the only examples of an ORIGINAL Buell bicycle. I have, somewhere, the original sales literature that I picked up at a bicycle shop in Shawnee, KS. I also have the Buell Tailpipe factory newsletter with the article about Glen Adams. It'd be interesting to know where these bikes are. I have one and I know of one that is still in the Buell cardboard box. The rest, like the one HD put in their "archive museum" have been recreated from parts and pieces. All the best, Court |

Dyna, YOU COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG. Secret Clandestine Group?!?!? The only time we ever get together to talk, become friends, and do other club stuff lately has been at the meetings. That's because communication between the members has been very low to this date. This is why I am so excited about using this board. (Look at what Tom wrote a few posts ago, "now I can see what goes on with this group" It seems like with each meeting we have, a new member joins. What we've been experiencing is a slow, sustained growth where everyone is getting along quite nicely. Yeah, club attendance at Battletrax didn't look like everyone was there, but had you been around to meet our new members, you may have recognized everyone at Hal's or Veterans Park or Uke's. You refer to the club as a clique and that is exactly what a club is. A CLIQUE. And Uke's "clique" wants nothing more than to attract other motorcyclist who like good fun, good people, and safe motorcycling. What is most unfortunate is that my written word does not always accurately reflect my tone and demeanor. Dyna, I'm not yelling here. I would like for you to start coming out to more meetings and meet everybody. I know you are busy. Many of those involved in the club have kids, other jobs, and other affiliations. But to call Uke's BRAG Club a secret, clandestine clique is unfair. I hope that this board will help facilitate communication amongst our members and everyone else on the net. It seems to be working. And Thank you again for getting things started here. I appreciate it. Hope to see you soon, Joe |

"Hey Joe, thanks for spearheading the push to get the Uke's club on this board." Thanks Don, but Dyna actually started it. Both of us were thinking the same thing at the same time. Glad to see folks starting to join up. I think this will help facilitate communication greatly. (the group email thing wasn't doing it.) You can post pictures here too. I just need to figure out a way to make the files smaller. Later, Joe |

Who is Dynarider??? I ride the Black or Orange depending on my mood X1. Came in 2nd in the points. And you MR Snapper would be? BTW Joe, I was just throwing some thoughts out there. How is word about the meetings getting out in the public? Is it strictly thru present members word of mouth or was there actually a bulletin printed up at some time? I do agree with you that hopefully this will help spearhead a push towards more active communication & participation. |

Dyna, Now I know who you are. I ride the yellow Cyclone I would say it is mostly word of mouth so far. But you know, we could use someone to get flyers out and that sort of stuff to spread the word... We can always use volunteers, seems to be a shortage of that in ANY club no matter size or function. I think our groth rate right now is very comfortable and it is making getting to know everyone more enjoyable. Have a good day! redsnapper64 |

JoeBuell, For jpg file compression please try the jpeg Optimizer or Image Optimizer at http://www.xat.com. It is too easy to use and cheap too. |

Vincents and Broughs to the original Muth-designed Zook . . . XR-750s , top fuellers . . . .name it, and you'll likely see it there . . . . . figure kickstands-up at 7:30 at Ukes? waddya say? |

I'm in John. The X1 and I are taking a day off from the work schedule and are looking forward to spending time with the Slimeys. Definitely going to be a "bring the camera" ride. |

Definately doing the crud run. Also can't make the open house on the 7th, gotta work. Dont think there will be any demos either. Pretty much your average "come on out & have a hot dog & buy some discounted merchandise" type of deal. |

OK, now I'm a little upset. After reading Dyna's comments about our lack of "advertising", I'm feeling like all the work to produce a quality newsletter is for nothing. I mean, if noone is getting an issue at the store, and noone is getting one in the mail, then what?!? Are the current members the only ones seeing these? I thought there would be a push to give the newsletter to potential Buell buyers as well as anyone else with Buell interest who came in the shop. If this is the case, then Dyna is absolutely correct - we're just a "clandestine clique". (Although I should say that I kind of like our little secret society - shhhhh...) |

Don, I have never seen a copy of this newsletter. I am in both shops a couple times a week too. Never seen it there, never got one in the mail. Who is in charge of distribution of these? I never seem to have any problems getting my HOG newsletter, or even the latest issue of Thunder press from the shop. Personally I like to think of myself as pretty pro-Buell. Myself & the wife were one of the first in the state to take delivery of the first years Blast. We traded that in on the X1 & have spent a ton of $$ on upgrades & changing things cosmetically. If you can e-mail me a copy of this newsletter. Thanks. |
