Appleton HD just left a message today that the service manual has arrived! This would have been a huge announcement at Homecoming!! Who needs a new model when we have manuals!!!! I will not make snide comments about when the 09 manual will ship. I will not make snide comments about when the 09 manual will ship. I talked to a "Factory Guy" while at Homecoming. He said he saw it complete last week in PDF but no print yet. Sounds imminent if not already printing/shipping. Z |

"...said he saw it complete last week in PDF..." And right now about 75 people started GoogleMining trying to find errant copies of the .pdf files. |

I have mine. It came in yesterday, while I was on the phone with the parts manager asking about it. I think they did a good job, and I am sure the wait was well advised. The Electrical Diagnostics Manual is better light reading, though, as there is more narrative and explanation of how systems are designed to work. Good to have both. Jack |

Jack: You make it sound like it should be on the "Best-sellers" list. I can't wait to get mine and curl up in front of a nice warm header and....... J/K Neil S. |

Called my dealer just now and they have one in stock, so I ordered the solenoid eliminator plug and will pick them up together. Probably when I go in for my recall. |

Is there a specific part number I should ask for? or just ask for the 1125R service manual? Cost? Thanks |

I just asked for the service manual. They're charging $60.10 IIRC. Which is not much more than what a Chiltons or Clymers runs so I though that was pretty good. The service manuals for my Subaru were $425. |

$60 is about right. I expect mine to be at the house when I get home tonight. Can't wait to read it! |

Dave you should be able to just ask for the service manual. But if you want to verify it's the right one, the part number is 99491-08Y. |

Thank you for the part number. Never hurts to have just in case. I like to have as much info as I can when I visit dealer. |

The service manual is indeed out. I've started my first pass and the folks in Tech Pubs have done a fabulous job. In addition to all the standard conversion stuff there are:
- 5 pages of detailed tool listing of all the tools used in the manual along with the part numbers for the specialized tools
- 19 pages of detailed torque values with notes
- VERY detailed information on the variety of connector types, how to make them, break them and repair them.
- All the tappet shims part numbers and calculation worksheets
- 8 detailed wiring diagrams.
- Detailed electrical specs (I've already noted the spelling problems in my proofing)
- Detailed torque values, at start of each chapter, for all the fasteners in the chapter.
- Fan on/off setting thresholds for both fans and electrical draw for systems.
It's just a nicely done book. . . . roughly 3-cm thick.

Also, anybody that is going to tackle servicing their 1125R, you absolutely need; - 1125R Electrical Diagnostic Manual, P/N 99949-08Y. BadWeb Pricing = $54.00. - 1125R Parts Manual, P/N 99572-08Y. BadWeb Pricing = $43.20. Service manual we also sell for $54.00 for our BadWeb brethren. Just PM me and we can set anyone up. We have a couple of service manuals in stock, but need to order the parts & electrical diagnostic manuals. |

Court - agreed. I expected no less after seeing the Electrical Diagnosis Manual. Even tho I and others have been frustrated waiting for the Service Manual, it a beautifully complete piece of work. Kudos to the Tech Pub group for a job very well done, even if a bit late in the game. I don't think I've ever seen a shop manual for anything, even military gear that is this complete as far as procedures, tools, conversions/specs and especially "necessary related info". I almost hate to get it dirty.... Z |

So what was fuzzed out in the background on those cover shots? Looks interesting, but it was probably just a messy lab |

Reepicheep: I believe it's just a poor scan of the artistic flair as seen on the owner's manual. |
