Please post your experiences and drivability comments here regarding this new calibration. All I have heard is that the timing maps have been revised, along with less fuel pump cycling after shut down. |

I've ridden mine about 500 miles since the re-map. Prior to, on hard acceleration I had stumbling at 5K RPM, sometimes at the wrong time like passing a car in 2 lane traffic. Since smooth and hard pulling acceleration all the way up. The low RPM surging is still there. I'm considering the solenoid eliminator I've been reading on this forum. |

Big Dog, Did you get the calibration within the last two days? That's how long the most recent calibration has been available. |

No, I got it a couple weeks ago. I originally took it in for the same problem, just a couple weeks after delivery, and they checked the factory settings and said it was good. But, it wasn't and then the recall came out, the one with the battery nut too. Yeah, I had the dead battery issue when I took it in the first time. They said I had left the key on. Anyway, is there another remapping recall? |

Well, I just checked with my dealer, and they are saying there is no re-flash and that the only flash they see on HDnet has the same number. Does anybody know the number of the new reflash??? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Okay, What the Flash LOL. So what is this Update, please clarify... If you had the flash done does it need to be done again? If your bike came with the updated flash when purchased, do you need the update? Now I am flashing confused... V/R, Nick |

It seems to be anyone's best guess as the dealer's service manager that first said this was new is kind of backing out on anything more than an "update" to the reflash that we know of. The customer's bike was a late build so it was already flashed with what we think of as the latest version. This customer did report feeling a difference though and why an update to the current one without being a new one is something that I cannot get my head around...It's really hard to know without getting REAL input from BMC or pulling the ecu file and comparing. If and when we can get such verified info AND before I reflash AGAIN, I will be pulling and saving my current flash to disc...just in case. I'm convinced that Xb9 is right, to perfect each and every bike might just lead to custom mapping. There seems to be just too many variables for one burn to cover. That is where this 11 is heading, based upon what we've experienced thus far. mm |

Since a couple of other Dealer's have checked HD-Net and there is nothing new but the current (first) re-flash, I think someone was told something by a Dealer that was incorrect. That's how rumors get started......I guess we're still waiting on the second one. This thread can die now. |

Well I don't know just relaying what the service manager said to me when I asked about my bill. I'll confirm thursday noon time. If I'm being lied to I'll let you know and if I F@&*ed up I will also let you know. |

Well Im back in the saddle. Dealer hooked me up. Bob is awesome! and knows his shit!! Bike runs great from what I can tell in 6-8 miles. Recall is done and Bob can tell more but the flash they did ( I believe he said a new one) changed the timing and injection map. |

Bob: Is there a new number to identify this "current" flash that is subsequent to the older 1st flash? TIA Neil S. |

Hi Crashstp, I Would be happy to get that bulletin number from you since my dealership knows absolutely ZIPPO about ANY reflash/remap of the ecm being req'd on this bike! The service mgr himself claims he called HD/Buell and they knew nothing about it either??? I don't know what to believe anymore...... Thanx a bunch for checking into it. Tracy |

Hi again guys, Here's the ECM reflash info. I got this from one of the local service writers who called HD/Buell today. Bulletin #B-071, 05-02 April 29, 2008 Buell 1125R ECM reflash. Have fun with your rocketships...... Tracy |

That is not a new re-flash. Those are the same numbers from the old thread. The date 29 April is the same and the campaign 05-02 is the same. If this is the latest info via a phone conversation with Buell, then there is not a new flash. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/357538.html?1214282911 Mike |

Hi Kttemplar, Yeah, I'm sorry if I wasn't clear about that! I just wanted to update whatever the existing or current reflash bulletin number was in case anybody wanted to reference it to their dealer. Sorry if I created any confusion..... Tracy |

Jotreveza, Thanks for the info. I wasn't firing on you. I just wanted to establish whether or not there is a new re-flash yet. This has been very confusing. It sounds like you have the "latest and greatest" information, being that they spoke to Buell on the phone today. It is actually a relief, because now I do not have to go down to my dealer and harass them yet, at least not until the next re-flash does come out. Mike |

I want my old flash back! my bike is popping the intake once in awhile and running hotter. But it is running better at higher RPM and getting better milage.... WTF .... So we have established that there is no new flash that I had the old one. Thats OK with me. Didn't mean to get hopes up, Was only going by what I understood. |

make sure your O2 sensors are reconnected and do a decent run at 45mph in 3rd gear after warmed up - also make sure the batt voltage is good - or stop by |
