every once and a while I'll start up the bike and the cel will start flashing rapidly. it will flash 10 times pause 10 times pause 10....and so on. If I turn it off and restart it, it will go away. I've looked in my service manual and it shouldn't do this. The only way the light should rapidly flash, is when you have a jumper wire going from pin 1 and 2 on the data connector. Anyone else ever seen this? it runs great and doesn't seem to have any problem. the bike is a 04 xb12s |

Mike - Love the cameo. Lemon - What are your travel dates. Webe and I are riding up to West Virginia rally the week before. Did not know if that worked into your travel plans. Seein - I haven't heard of that before. You know we need to talk about a C3 ride. To bad I am booked up until the weekend of July 27th. |

Seeing - It's flashing out a trouble code. There is a way you can retrieve all the stored trouble codes in the ECM. I can dig it out of the service manual if you need it, but I believe it's here on badweb somewhere. Basically, the trouble codes are two digit numbers. There can be more than one. You count flashes to get the numbers. When you see it flashing it just threw a code. But it stores the codes in the ECM so you can retrieve them. |

I've already looked in the service manual. According to what it says the light should only blink if it is overheating. it it has a code stored it will stay illuminated. Without pin #1 and #2 connected it will not read out trouble codes. Mine is flashing 10 times, which according to the book, there is nothing about 10 flashes. I just can't figure it out. So far its only done it twice but both times were this week. |

Seeing, short the pins and see if it has a trouble code stored. Whatever makes the light flash, probably causes a code. |

Arriving back in New Bern around 8:50 tonight was a humbling experience... One interesting thing (like there was only one...) from the Homecoming festivities was going to Summerfest on the 4th of July. My pick of the bands to see was Five Finger Death Punch. If it weren't for the mohawk and arms full of tattoos I would've sworn that their bassist, Matt Snell was actually Spike moonlighting. More L8R, 1313 |

Spike, our bikes are showing this needs to be done. The bad part is, I can't pull up the pdf and I only see this in SWR inquiry. The start date of the campaign is listed as 7/2/08. I will keep an eye on it. |

Couldn't help but to share this: A recent study found the average American walks about 900 miles per year. Another study found Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a year. That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon. Makes you proud to be an American. |

Hi guys, The kids are doing ok. I get to see Kylie only a very short time a week and Aaron almost never. She is using the kids as a weapon against me, and as I have been told by everyone(especially her), I am going to lose as she has an attorney and I don't. I can't believe some of the things she has done, seems hard to believe she ever cared for me or cares for the kids. Any way I miss my bike badly, the one thing I had to relax. Glad you are all doing well and ride safe. Larry |

MTB, Man I hate to say it but that vid has been cracking me up ALL day! Gotta love you Man! BTW if you need assistance in finding qualified representation let me know. Although I don't know folks on the TN side, I can get recommendations. On the NC side, I know Zeland McKinney is well versed with traffic cases and he's from that area. OT: Last Friday I picked up a sweet race prepped R6 with all the suspension goodies and such .... It has less than 1200 miles on it and I believe 6 races. I lucked out and got comped 2 free track days at CMP on Sat/Sun so I got to get to know it. It screams and howls like a possessed banshee with the full Ti Force exhaust system! Lots of fun and pretty damn fast! I've got a LOT to learn about the bike a suspension set-up!!! I'm leaving this Fri. to take a race school at ROebling Road on SAt and a track day on Sun. The following weekend 7-19/20 I plan on racing a WERA event at CMP. The following weekend 7-26/27 I plan on heading back to ROebling Road for another WERA event. Finally, the weekend of 8-2 I'm entered in a RallyMoto in West Virginia, run on twisty gravel roads. We'll just have to see how this all pans out or if any of it pans out ... lots of factors like $$$, family, work crisis .... but might as well plan on having fun and learning more about riding, huh? Now ... back to wrenching and packing ... |
