So I am toying with the idea of getting my Uly done up in a black frame swingarm and then Arctic Cat green bodywork and wheels. I dont suppose anyone could give me a hint at what it would look like could you? Thanks |

How about this? Its a bit rushed, but it should be enough to give you an idea of what you want. I wasnt sure how dark you wanted the frame. Also, i ran into a bit of a difficulty picking the green, perhaps it would of been easier if i used a yellow or red uly to start with :\

Froggy You are the man! I definitely prefer this green over the arctic cat green. I am going to go ahead and do her up. I think I will get the headers jet hot coated black then do the grab handles and tail section in green as well. Thanks a lot for the work! |

my buddy is a true believer that a green bike has bad luck. it's a biker thing. although it does look nice. i came real close to trading in the 04 ultra in for one.they were gonna give me a great deal on it but i already had to much stuff on the 04 to want to let it go besides it was paid off.

Here's a little experiment I did with my bike before chroming the air box cover and fly screen.

Aeholton, How did you paint your plastics? If you did a spray can, how did it hold up? Everyone says they take paint real well but I've never been real keen on spray cans, but then again I've never painted plastic and I have no idea how well it holds up. |

Froggy, Could you send me the psd file for the Uly you did in green? I'm thinking about doing something to mine, maybe in Hi-Viz Lime Yellow like my Aerostich. Or bright orange. Something that stands out... |

Sean, I didn't think i would need it, so i ended up just saving it as a flattened jpeg. You can see the full size one here: http://froggypwns.com/images/Random%20crap/ulygree nwithblack.jpg If you want i can try and redo it, this time hopefully it will come out better. |

Chrisrogers3, I rattle can painted it. I used Fusion primer for plastic. Then I painted it with a dayglow green I found at home depot. I then clear coated it with some clear coat I found at Michael's arts and craft store. It had holographic sparkles in it. I'm no painter (don't have the patience). So, it looked good from 10+ feet. As for how it held up, I only had it on there for around 3 months while my other pieces were being chromed. One mistake I made was leaving the black plastic piece with the metal intake grill on it and just taped it off. When I went to peel the tape, it chipped the edges of the fresh green around it. I completely removed them for the chroming process and then epoxied them back on. |

Nice PhotoShop job Froggy!! Good choice of colour too. I asked SWMBO what she thought of it, "Nice, much better than that orangey colour toy've got now!" |

Here you go, put a little more effort in this one. Painted the chin spoiler and seat too. Didn't bother doing the frame black. I call the color "Kawasucky Green" |
