I know a lot of people dont like sturgis for whatever reason, Please leave that outta this thread. Im just curious to see who is going. I am wanting to go this year, it would be my first year. Problem is, all my friends ride jap bikes and dont want to hang out with the "harley guys". So i gotta talk a few of them into it. |

It's funny you ride with jap bikes. I always end up riding with harleys. It's kinda funny how a Buell is welcome at either camp. Thats something that I never got from my CBR. The guys I ride with are still disscussing if they are going. If they go I will probabaly join them. |

I'm going to hit the tail end. Let some of the people thin out. Lot of fun rides in that area. |

a hell of a lot better than daytona or myrtle beach can ever be IMO. i would love to get out that way again. that's where i test rode my first buell at back in 01. the nice thing is if you don't want to be apart of anything than you have a ton of places to ride off to and see and from what i hear they put a bypass rode in to the other side of town to eliminate the through town traffic. i did hear though that they started charging to get on some roads. don't know what that's all about. |

I'll be heading out there this year, on the Ulysses. I'll be out Monday thru Wednesday, that's about all I can take of the crowds. I'll be riding with my family all on Harley's. Buell's are definitely the ultimate ride with anybody bike, around home I ride with a couple of jap bikes, a Triumph and assorted others, with the family its Harley, and my Ulysses works great with both. But to get back to Sturgis, I am looking forward to it, there are some seriously awesome roads in the Black Hills, the only thing that will suck is they will be full of cruisers. I think if I hit them in the early morning though they may be a little clearer. We usually camp out by Broken Spoke Saloon, Ironhorse campground I think. If you get out there stop by, always enjoy another Buell in the group. |

I've only made the run from the West Coast, loved camping in Spearfish, etc. Wouldn't go without a spot at the best club campsite there. |

In the 80's one of my co-workers went with buddies on their air-cooled Japanese 4-cylinders. One of them was on an XS11 and wheelied through a tandem line of a well known biker club and ran a couple of them off the road. The club members were hunting for him most of the weekend, but lucky for him, they were looking for a guy on a Honda! |

Motorcyclists running fellow motorcyclists off the road...then fleeing like little girls.... Nice. Guy could use the beat-down. |

i dont think you had to run bikers of a well known club off the road to be hunted for all weekend long, anybody would be pissed at that retard move... anyways.. sturgis, im probably going, but gonna try my damndest to get some others to sack up and go with. i can bring a girl, but it wouldnt be as much fun having to drag her around as it would be with the guys. |

I'll be there on Aug 2nd on my Dads Uly, him on his Deuce and our buddy on his Uly. No way to get my Firebolt up there so I get to ride the Uly. We're at Glencoe for the week. |

I've been to Sturgis the city, but never to Sturgis the bike event. Looks like I'll be able to say the same thing next year based on how this year is going so far. Some day.... |

Not my thing, that's for sure... but with the right group, and the right campsite, it's a blast. |
