I still think a tag based system of posts and topics is better. Information that may be perceived as family specific often provides valuable general insights. Imagine searching through 1125, XB, Blast, Uly, and Old School KVs looking for something... Maybe a question about welding on the XB / 1125 style frame construction gets posted in the Uly board. Maybe a question about Isolator Bracket Bolts gets posted to the Blast board - and the only bike it WOULDN'T apply to is the 1125. Anyway, just my feelings on the subject. -Saro |

I tend to agree Saro. I sure appreciate all the suggestions and comments here offered by everyone. Thanks for taking time to help improve the place. We have a vBulletin forum test site in place, but it has a ways to go until it is ready to go live. If anyone here is an expert in customizing vBulletin and/or importing other forums into vBulletin, and are willing to help/advise, please let me know. We really need to put together an RFQ along with specifications detailing what we want/need done and then get some high power professional help. Any recommendations would be most appreciated. |

Can't register without a real email address. Bartimus has an avatar? You must be looking at some very old threads. Avatars are disabled. This a forum for sharing information, not fluffy little pictures. |

Question, why do some topics have the newest post show at the top of the page and other NOT? When the newest posts are buried down the page it makes it hard to follow! Examples are Storm Fronts and Critical mass where the new post get logged somewhere down the list. mark61 (Message edited by mark61 on June 30, 2008) |

I don't know if there is a section already dedicated to this, but I think that an area on Badweb should be devoted to Bueller's favorite rides/areas. That way, should I choose to venture into another state, I can check ride details/amenities/scenery/curves, etc before I go to help plan a trip. I know there are websites that are entirely dedicated, but they seam to me to be lacking in detail and very few people post on them. Just an idea, but if there is already a section of Badweb dedicated to this, please disregard (and point me in that direction). Thanks. |

I second that, Awesome idea, nearby gas stations, good twisties and if you got the time hotels/camping site proximity. It would be cool to put a mapquest link that could bring up the map of that area just pop in your address and boom driving directions. |

I've been thinking about something Blake, inspired by my inability to remember when I last changed my tires. It would be nice to have some sort of online service record attached to our user profiles. Just something simple where one could log the date and mileage that repairs ore maintenance was done to the bike. I see the real value of this, not in compensating for my lack of ability to keep track of paper records, but in it's growing into record of problems. Eventually when someone ask about say Uly wheel bearing failures, we will actually have real answers. We already have a field like this on our profile pages. However, it's free form and not broken down between various bikes a person might own. Would be nice to have enough structure so you could differentiate between bikes, and so you could suck all of it into a database and analyze it. |

i am a member of another forum for another bike that i have and a feature that site has is to subsribe to a topic. when doing so anytime someone ads to a post u have subscribed to u recieve an email to check the updated information. its kinda nice i found when looking at lots of posts and forgetting where u have or havent been. the email will help you keep tabs on where youve been when that add kicks in lol |

You guys need to standardize the fonts between headings/sections. It's giving me a headache... |

I'd love to see the availability of wiki type features for knowledge vault and other reference type uses. One of the difficulties with searching the archives is ensuring that you understand the current "state of the knowledge". Nu2buell's suggestion above about favorite rides and areas would be another great fit for a wiki structure. Ditto on the tags. Tags allow information to be organized but not siloed. Also, I wish I could make comic sans go away forever without using a firefox addon. (Can we pick our font preferences, pretty please?) |

Is it possible to have a poll question section? It would be cool to have the group vote on topics like who likes the new 09 Buell and other stuff like that. Doing it in a thread can be a pain to calculate results from. |

So I guess it's time for a new area for the 1125CR, or will the 1125R section become simply the "1125" Board? You could call it the... "Water Board" Lord, I apologize, be with the starvin' pygmies. |
