I've been searching the web for a week now and I cannot find clear facts about using ecmspy with a PDA. What I need to know: Which PDAs will and will not work? If buying a PDA on ebay, what cable to I need to make this work? Can I buy a PDA connector, Duetsh connector, and a regular USB cable and make a working cable? Will the PDA do the same things as a PC when using ecmspy? |

There's plenty of information available in this forum. Or use a search engine of your choice to find some more in the web. Regards, Gunter |

I've searched many sites and found no clear information. Lots of people talking about building cables and what will and will not work but no one has posted that if you have this PDA , this connector, this cable, it will work. I did see where someone posted how to build a passive set up but I want to make changes to the fuel map, can I still do this with a passive set up? I have no idea what TTL, RS232 or any of that stuff means, I just need someone to tell me exactly what to buy to make it work. |

As a side note, I am watching a Palm M130 on ebay. Will this work with ecmspy? I have found two different lists of pda's to be used with ecmspy on the web. One list has pda's that use a TTL signal and the other list uses rs232. Which one to I need? |

You need the TTL. I think (and this is a dim memory) the M130 is RS232, not TTL. |

ID073897 posted on another board just the opposite. I have read that the TTL PDA's can only be used as passive devices and you cannot make changes to the ECM. Is this true? |

I guess nobody has a working PDA set up? I've found lots of posts about people talking about how to make it work, but I have yet to see anyone post "I have it working, this is what I am using, this is how I done it". |
