My more or less new Motion Pro braided steel clutch cable is leaking. After every ride, one or two drops of oil are coming out of that point, where the clear coated braided steel part of the cable is pressed into to metal part, which goes into the primary. Tried high temp silicon to seal it,but it didn´t work. Any suggestions? To send that cable back to MP is way to expensive for me living in Germany. Ralph |

You might want to check the condition of the O-ring seal at the clutch end of the cable. Also check the oil level in the primary. Make sure it's no higher than the clutch spring when the bike is straight up. If the crankshaft oil seal gets worn and leaks engine oil into the primary, that can cause overfilling of the tranny which will result in oil going into the cable when on the sidestand. |

Thanks Sparky, but these are not my problems. The cable in itself is leaking,no overfilled primary or O-ring problem I tried to describe where the oil comes from. Ralph (Message edited by Xldevil on July 06, 2008) |

Might try draining it and cleaning that end good seal it with clear RTV and putting clear head shrink over that end. Joe |
