Old kawi rider myself, came off Ninjas and a KLR250. And that new KLR650 is a nice ride with some adjustments for short legged me. So is this run an off road thing? Having never been to HHR, forgive my ignance. |

Greg, you are too kind. Cityslicker, it's just a nice run of our local roads. This year seems poised to best all the runs we've had so far. We'll run the Shawangunks and southern Catskills on Saturday for a scenic down home Hudson Valley experience, and then shred the local twisty loops on Sunday. If the Bear Mountain accomodations pan out, then this will be an event to remember. I've got lots of ideas. Tramp and Saintly have many more I'm sure. I can't wait. |

Nice twisties are not the issue here.....time is. We will run out of time before good roads. Either way, accommodations will be available at cassa de Hammer as well. I believe I will be storing the Nebo guys but havent yet confirmed it. Should be a grand old time. |

Any travel agents out there? It looks like I won't be going to Florida anymore to help Julie's parents move so I may be able to go now to HHR. I have been looking at the online flight places and the cheapest I've found is $368, arriving Friday and leaving Monday. |

I just got back in from Big Sur, this AM- Joe, I find Orbitz is still great for flights, that's how I book most of mine, when I haven't access to a sabreset. ...remember to reference several smaller area airports, Stewart Newburgh (SWF) is the closest, as you recall, and often the most affordable. Given today's fuel costs, driving to/from Newark (EWR), LaGuardia (LGA) or JFK (JFK) is no bargain. Westchester (HPN) is an excellent airport, and plenty close enough, a quick little hop for JLB & Ninjasue, too. Another nice thing about Stewart is that it's still an ANG TCA, so Airforce personnel can sometime shitch it, as well. A close associate is an ANG ATC, and can be of assistance on base. This is going to be a nice, relaxed, two-day affair, with Gomo planning the Saturday "Gunks" (just google shawangunk ridge climbing) route, and the HVC boys planning the 'spirited' Harriman park section. I've heard great things about MikeXLR's "backlawn" (back 40) campsite, plenty of Koombayah and Boston-style baked beans with the NEBO crew. There's also an excellent M/C clubhouse just down the road from Mike's, their parties are a blast, and the pres. is a dear friend. |

HPN was WAY HIGH. SWF is still in the lead. |

Remember, Joe- If at all possible, try flying on a Thursday PM or Fri. AM, so as to be 'staying through a Friday'; this can significantly reduce fares....and give you some quieter riding time up here, with a smaller group. |

I remembered that and I did Friday to Monday. Once again, it is going to be a matter of whether or not my boss lets me take off that many days. I should know by the end of the week. If I don't go to Florida and my boss gives me the days, I'll be there! |

Laws were going to get movers for their stuff, but it was going to cost them $7000 to move, so now they need a truck driver. There's no stopping me next year. |
