For those of you that plan on attending the races at Road America, here is some information for you. First, from my understanding, registration closes at 7:00pm each night, so if you're racing, they MAY not let you in until the following morning. I believe after that time, unless you have a wristband ISSUES BY R.A. for the CCS races, you will not be allowed in. The one issued with Homecoming, as far as I know, will not get you in. PLEASE, if some one knows otherwise, please post here. After a long conversion with Coolice (Mike) James Gangs Racings Crew Chief, bike guru and all around great guy, we've decided to try and pit on the asphalt paddock. Reason being is during the AMA/Moto-ST ,where I had to leave right after the races, he said they had one hell of a time with the mud and rain . We pitted in the grass that weekend. Here is a really lame attempt to give you a vague idea where will will try to pit. Some where on the asphalt paddock, close to pit wall and the tracks power supply. That's another reason we want to pit there. It will cost a small fortune to run generators all weekend.
You'll have to make the crappy pic larger to get a better look at it. You'll come in under a tunnel near turn 13A. When you head straight up the big hill, there will be a Concession building on your left. the Buell Tent (BT) was just up the road past that. Then there will be some grassy pit area's. We are going to try and get on the paved area as close to the Buell tent as possible. I will post some pics later of my toy hauler and Mike set up. We should be rather hard to miss. Also, I will be bringing a new 4 man tent along in case anyone needs a place to sleep. Just bring some sleeping gear, and you're more than welcomed to use it. Schmitty and Smoke. Did you guys get my E-mails? Ben, pm me your cell number and Tim, I'll pm you mine. |

Will have this banner along with the flags hanging from my EZ-UP.
My Toy Hauler. The awning is white and blue and will have a checkered flag mat under the awning. Also a checkered flag on a 20 foot tall red, white and blue flag pole.
The toy hauler is the "Blast" model. That should be easy to remember.
Will have the "Buell Alley" sign out some where it can be easily seen.
My bike.
Mike's RV. It will have a white trailer. Bike's # 70. Lots of Buell stuff. Again, pretty damn hard to miss. I am getting to the track Thursday afternoon. I'm going to try to save a spot for Mike. I will also try and save as many spot around us as I can for anyone else that wants to pit with is. I hope no one there questions all the caution tape I'll be stringing up! |

Couldn't have said it better Rocco! Yes everyone look us up, it's great to see all the Bueller's stop. The racers really enjoy it. And don't be afraid to step up close in the pits if we aren't elbow deep into something, we don't bite! Travel(ride) safe everyone! |

Of course!!! You know that I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty....or even hold a flashlight if that's what the situation demands Keeping me from getting involved is usually the real trick. I love racing and if all goes well with my brother's job we should be back in the pits again next year. He has been racing a motard, and enjoys the racing and low cost, but it's just not the same. We had been hoping to be racing a Buell motard...but that's somewhere down the road I guess... If there was a place to park my bike somewhere near your pits I could spend more time over that way than I did last year. I don't get around so well without the 4-wheeler and i haven't come up with a good way to pack it on the firebolt. (not to mention the fact that the starter went out on it sometime between the last time we rode it and today) Besides, if no one looks too close it looks like a race bike |

Thanks Heather. We are going to try and make it to the Boiler Room. (Can't promise anything though Dana. We're working on a plan.) We're heading up to R.A. Thursday. Leaving home about noon. We are planning to go to the Tiki joint Erik is playing at Saturday evening. It's about 10 minutes from the track. Are you and Jason going to make it to the races? |
