I guess that constitutes a "limited production run" for '08. I think around 50 of those were probably the pre-production units? Where'd you get the number? | ||

There is some conjecture as to whether the 1579 number is right or not, since the vin numbers of members on the board end in numbers higher than 1579. Based on the trend that Buell has followed in the past, and the first quarter shipments, the numbers seem about right. Here are the numbers for shipping units for 2007 and the first quarter of 2008.   Based on the Buell shipped units in 2007 and the first quarter of 2008, Buell should have shipped about 4,768 bikes other than Blasts by the end of the second quarter 2008. To get the numbers for 2nd quarter 2008, I used a proportion of the 2nd quarter 2007 compared to the units shipped 1st quarter 2008. If this is split into the three segments (Sport, Street, Adventure) then each segment would get about 1589. I do not know what percentage of the total units shipped were dedicated to the 1125R, but the 1579 number seems logical. I am sure that more bikes were produced in the street and sport segments than adventure and I am sure that the 1125R was the lion's share of the sport segment. Just my thoughts. OK I do not know if I am reading this right but it says Buells produced over 651+cc. now the blast is only 495 cc so what are the 651 cc bikes, I think something wicked this way comes? single cylinder 651 cc super moto maybe? should know soon. | ||

I believe that the 651 cc designation is an arbitrary number generated by HD. Mike | ||

I am hoping a dirt bike is coming from Buell next, that is why I thought the 651cc was from, will know in a few months I guess, would make sense that a 651cc single cylinder would be made, if buell did do a single cylinder super moto or dirt bike. | ||

so with over 220 represented on this forum...that makes BadWeb about 14% of total units sold. I would say that those figures show us owners here on BadWeb to be a very good "polling" of any issues past, present and future.... Court....what do you think? | ||

Wasn`t bike #1 numbered 101 instead of 001? If that is correct it would explain some of the discrepancy. | ||
