I've been watching an '05 XB12Scg since last summer. Bike is as new, has less than 1k miles. Owner didn't move it last year; this year he has it consigned to an HD/Buell dealer. Sticker @ $7995. Salesman hinted at $7500. Would take another $500+ in tax and fees to get it out the door. KBB prices are $5000 trade/$7200 retail. What do y'all think this unit should sell for? |

I bought mine for $5500 with 8k miles on it. Came with full carbon fiber body work, the stock plastics, race kit, and an extra set of tires. $8k seems a bit high. |

I paid $7999 for a 2008 XB12R with 404 miles. Lakeshore HD/Buell in Libertyville, Il. I don't think they like Buell. They always sell them way cheaper than the other dealers around here. Just trying to move them out the door. |

I'm looking around too. I'm not a price expert, but my only warning would be to not read too much into KBB prices. The KBB retail price is what DEALERS "ask" for the bike. It does NOT reflect what bikes are actually sold for. I like to make sure I read the NADA guide and the KBB together to get a better idea of what the market thinks bikes are worth. Though I'm no expert, I wouldn't personally go for an $8k or $7.5k 2005. I'm with other posters in thinking this is too rich. It's also over the KBB retail which is always a red flag for me. |

Thats high -- offer $6000 if they include a 5 year extended warranty (if you want that kind of this) or $5K-ish if not. They are asking '07-'08 cash for that thing. You should ask them if they have any remainder XB12S bikes in inventory, see what they want for them. Personally I would just get a new bike if they want that price -- that's sillyness. |
