I opened up my (inner) airbox over the weekend and have found that I have lost alot of my midrange from 3-4K. Right now I have a race muffler and K&N. Do you think the ECMspy could fix this mid-range problem or should I just go back to stock airbox? |

Running the stock ecm. Thats why I was wondering if the ecmspy would help me out. |

Run the race ecm, get a TPS reset, you'll be happy. Or I'd talk to Al at American (after the 4th weekend) and ask about a custom map. I don't think you want to run the risk of being too lean. I think you can get race ecm's off Ebay or here pretty cheap. |

You don't need a TPS reset after opening the arbox. Maybe an AFV reset but the TPS won't change. |

Fatten the midrange a little using ECMSpy but don't forget to feather it into the upper end of the maps. Either that or your AFV will hover up towards 105 and take care of itself to a certain extent. A but of datalogging wouldn't hurt. |

I'm curious to know why people buy Race Ecm's if EcmSpy does it all plus more for next to nothing? |

They buy em because they don't have ecmspy or don't know how to use it. You can get the "race ecm" eeprom for free from a few online sites and load it onto the stock ecm with no problems. Jeff |

Yeah, I'd just load and save your stock ECM map and then load the race ECM map onto your existing ECM. I think you can do this with ECMspy, can't you? |

The standard pipe with the interactive valve will give you back your midrange but the noise of the race pipe wont be there. Odie at Special Ops does a nicely modded pipe that may suit your needs. |

I think it would be easiest for me to switch back to a closed air box. Does anyone have one they would like to sell? If you have the snorkel plug I would buy that to. |

Cover not the plug. Not even sure what a snorkel plug is, to be honest with you. Send me a PM. |
