No takers on the Homecoming eh? What about Mid-Ohio VM days? I usually head over for the day Saturday for two wheeled hyjinks and to watch the races for a while. Last year Spidy (from Detroit) came along. We are planning the same this year as well. | ||

I cant make it to Homecoming but I always make it to VMD at Mid-Ohio. I'm a vintage addict! Not sure if I'm camping for the weekend or riding down each day. I live about an hour away from the track so its an easy ride, if you're patient enough for the highway. Two hours if I use the back roads. | ||

me and a few folks from down here in Cbus will be at VMD. They are camping but I prolly won't be. I'm gonna try to head up to NWO Sunday but I'd think that's opposite sides of the state thump. When'dya move or do you still work down here? | ||

Norwalk is having the Summit Nationals Drag Race. There will be plenty of Buells dominating Pro Stock Bike. I believe they have S&S motors. | ||

Anyone going to ride on Sunday? Thumper & Badlion expressed a desire to ride earlier in the week. Are you guys still thinking about riding tomorrow? Anyone else? The latest forecast calls for only a slight chance of rain in the morning with an increasing chance later in the afternoon. Keeping this in mind, how about meeting around 8:00-8:30am or so, in order to, hopefully, miss any rain. Again, the best roads begin a little south of N.E. Ohio, but it doesn't take too long to get there if we can meet somewhere in the greater Akron area. I'll ride tomorrow, regardless. There's another group I can meet up with if no one here wants to go. It would be nice to meet & ride with some fellow "Buellers", however! | ||

Saturday ride Some NOB's have once again expressed a desire to meet for a ride on Saturday. The weather should be nice, so hopefully a few of us can get together, put a face to a name & have some fun. If you are a new or inexperienced rider, please don't hesitate to join us. Everyone can ride at a pace with which they feel comfortable and have a good time. I'm sure you'll find the more experienced riders to be helpful & encouraging. It would be nice to meet sometime between 8:00 & 9:00am. I don't think that riding "in the valley" during the holiday weekend would be much fun because of all the traffic and enforcement. If anyone has any suggestions about other areas to meet & ride let's hear them! | ||

Well... it looks like I won't have the time to ride this weekend. I managed to get the bike washed, but other than that... I think I'm booked. Jackie and I are getting married 7/12 and there are still a million things to do. I've gotta clean the gutters, detail the car, mow the grass, clean the house, cook some to get things ready for the reception. If it weren't for riding to work, I wouldn't get to ride at all. | ||

Black Uly was probably Gene Calai from Olmsted Falls. He is on the board, yes. Us-Uly. James, sorry you cant make it. Suggestion:  , before 7/12, you best get a pre-nup to guarantee yourself some riding time after the big day! Just kidding. Congrats on the marriage thing! Wifey and I have 28 years of "bliss", if you need any tips just ask. Dave, where do you want to meet? Suggestions please. We should probably head out your way anyway. Any other NOBbers want in for this Saturday's ride?? Oh yeah, better give you guys fair warning before we meet, as you can see I handle the English language well enough, my speech is almost normal, but I cant hear a dang thing, totally Deaf. I use sign language most of the time. If you guys happen to know sign, great! If not, I always bring a pad of paper to write on. I stink at reading lips so dont count on it. So, sorry to say that when we meet up, any conversation will require you to write on paper for me and I can speak back. It's slow but it works. I do appreciate any efforts on your part to talk but I wont force it on you guys. Riding is the main idea anyway! Just and FYI, thats all. Ron | ||

Fellow NOBs, Since I've been asked....let's meet at the Bob Evans restaurant in Montrose(it's at the intersection of I-71 & Rt. 18 west of Fairlawn/Akron). I ride a Blue Ulysses XT and will be there around 8-8:15am. If I'm not outside by my bike, I'll be inside getting a bite to eat. I'll have my riding jacket with me so I'll be easy to spot. Kickstands up at 9:00am. We'll head south from there, the length of the ride depending on what we decide when we meet. Also, anyone can leave at anytime if they have to get back early(James, maybe you can just get out for an hour or two with us). Happy 4th of July  , Dave P.S. - Ron, I'll bring a pad & pen. CORRECTION! We are meeting at the Bob Evans restaurant located near the intersection of I-77(not I-71) and Rt. 18 tomorrow, July 5th between 8:00am and 9:00am. If you want to get something to eat, come closer to 8:00am as we will be leaving at 9:00am. I'm sorry for posting the wrong interstate earlier and hope anyone thinking of joining us tomorrow gets this correction in time. Dave |
