Well, figure I should add my name to the list. I now have an 1125R. Got 200 miles on here already. Also got her baptized in the rain as I had to travel about 50 miles in a torrential downpour. This bike is way to much fun. |

Congrats, so just curious what's the last four of your vin? We haven't had any vin number reports in a while so I'm curious how high the numbers are getting. (Message edited by spectrum on June 23, 2008) |

Well, for the numbers side of things. Mine is 532. Enjoying it a lot right now. She's learning and smoothing out in the 3-4k realm. MPG is slowing improving and she pulls like a freight train. I have 575 miles on her now. Yeah, that man in 2 days. |

Haha!! My bike was baptized by rain on the way home from the dealer after I bought it!! 220 Miles!!! It was horrible Florida and Alabama rain, I couldn't see a thing! |

it took me one miserable week to get through the 620 breakin miles... but then after that, i learned how killer the upper half of the RPM range is... if you like the lower half, the upper gets dumb crazy with power... aahhhhhhh |

Gratz on your new Machine! You will love it.. It gets better with millage. I am at 6k and the fun and amazement never stops. I made a pass today on a two lane road. Started out as 45 shifted once and looked down as I let off I was at 100. This beast was trying to pull out from under me |

Ryan, You have been around here for a long time and following the ins and outs of the 1125r. It is about time you got one of your own! Congratulations and enjoy! While I am at it. Thanks for your service to our country! |

Congrats. I have 5,000 on the clock and I have been lucky to avoid any long term gremlins that some have been experiencing. It really is a sweet ride. It has an attitude, rumble & sound that other sportbikes just don't have. And the best part is now it has the motor to back everything up. Schwing! Exciting times. |

I was thinking about that the other day. About how this bike is unrefined to where it has a ton of character that any other bike of it's class lacks. I love it. |

hahaaaaaaaaaa ohhhhhhhhhhh. Break in complete. Took her out for her run to red line (did the same with my XB so many years ago) and holy shit. That thing is like a rocket ship. It feels like someone put a rocket engine to the back of that bike and Buell. It just pulls like it will never end and gets more powerful with every second. Yes, I did demo the bike, but was not comfortable with WOT. Well, after 600 miles on it I figured why not. I got onto the hwy and pegged it. I was in 2nd and was well above what I should be going. Geeze. She has a name, and her name is, license stealer. |

Yep, when you figure that 1st at redline is 65mph, 2nd is pretty darn in violation of 99.9% of the speed limits! Just trying to watch your acceleration via the speedo can really distort things since it can't keep up with the reality of the 25r! |

I find myself now not looking at the speedo and just listening to the motor. The power continues to build all the way through the RPM range, and so smooth, it never sounds to me like it is working even as it gets close to redline. The times I do look at the speed now, it would be too late for smokey. The bike would be impounded |

I thought someone said redline in 3rd was around 120 mph... seems about right. (Message edited by zac4mac on June 24, 2008) |

Congrats to you and keep on ridin' I have just over 3K miles and just started speed shifting!!! No clutch, just WOT, pressure under the shifter and when it hits the rev limiter I'm in the next gear... |
