Where can I get a good extended warrenty for my Uly? It went out of warrenty last Tuesday. The voltage regulator went up the prior friday so I barley squeked in under the wire for warrenty work. Sems like if it had happened a few days later it would have cost me approx. $94 to fix it myself. I am concerned about bearings and perhaps then rear wheel and/or swingarm, fuel pump, voltage regulator, and stator. Thanks |

Personally, I think that the extended warranty is a waste of money. It's not offered by Buell or HD (but rather by a subcontractor who can more easily refuse claims, IMHO) and once you get past infant mortality (say 5,000 miles or so) you are good to go on the two biggest items. The chance of all of those items you've named going bad together would seem remote, and IIRC, the EW is expensive. . |

An extended warranty is a gamble. Your betting it's going to cost more then the cost of the warranty to keep your bike going and the warranty company is betting it won't. Guess what, the house always wins in the long run. The "average" person will save money by paying for the repairs instead of the warranty. Also an interesting note, many things that "normally" fail will not be covered. |
