The first one happens all the time at dealerships around the world. Ask No_Rice about the guy that refused to listen to any warnings about the new XB Buell because he had "owned sportsters before" (ended up with it riding him before he left the parking lot) |

1. Be careful of new tires. Looks the release compound had not been scuffed off the tires before he decided to warm 'em up. Go easy on new tires. 2. Well, he DID want a thrill didn't he? |

We had a guy buy an 07 busa with a 300 swingarm kit on it...during delivery he tried to kick the bike down in 1st on the brake pedal. We offered to ride it or trailer it home for him. Refused. Took off out of the parking lot, pinned it in 1st, ramped over the curb, somehow stayed up, ramp back off the curb, and kept going. Somehow he didn't even bend the chrome rims!! We caught up to him @ the red light by the dealership, asked him AGAIN if he wanted us to get it home for him...still refused, and then took off and went about 15 mph all the way out of sight! |

Well I am of the opinion that stupidity SHOULD be painful, kinda that Darwinian survival of the fittest thing. Kinda the whole point of the Darwin awards! I just wish they'd weed themselves out of the gene pool on a faster rate! |

Yeah, the guys at the local dealership I get a lot of my gear from tell me that during peak season they get a couple of new riders a week who tip going out of the parking lot or down the street at their first turn. On the upside, they are more than happy to sell the guys new plastic. hrmm, you know I always catch myself saying I wish stupidity hurt -- guess it does sometimes though. Maybe there is some balance in this universe after all.

Thanks for posting some videos! I spend many long nights surfing for great acts of stupidity. I love crash videos! I am partial to the ones based solely in what I call, 'show-off-ignorance!' Here's one of my Favorites: http://www.funmansion.com/videos/motorcycle_burnou t_gets_smashed_up.html I love the fact he rode it all the way to the end! |

That is a classic. My driver came up with that one afternoon. We had just picked up an account with a major grocery store chain and I went with him on the 3rd delivery as it was taking over an hour for him to get checked in on an empty dock. After standing there with our shipment sitting on the dock for 45 minutes and watching the staff talk on their cell phones, eat, fight about something removed from another's buggy, etc. those words came out of his mouth and couldn't be more accurate - "You can't fix stupid". After an hour of standing there I asked for the supervisor. Once he showed and I explained who I was and what had been going on for an hour he quickly had someone check us in with humble apologies. It was never a problem again. |

I've always loved the saying "if you're dumb, you gotta be tough. If you're stupid...suffer." |

That second video is a perfect example of how squids are not only a danger to themselves but also to others. |

We in the aviation world have a similar phase: "If your stupid you die." Holds true every single time. j- |

In the second video, the first rule for clearing an obstacle on a dirt bike is to get the front end up, so he did that well, he then should have stood up on the pegs and moved forward on the tank to let the rear wheel rise and I think thats where he went wrong |

Locally the record is 48 feet/sub 30 seconds. Brand new FLSTN (Softail Deluxe) Customer drove right into the chain link fence failing to turn the corner out of the dealership. I think they were offered no less than 3 times to have the bike delivered. No video, actually cracked the case on the off camber fall. Broken knee and hip. No video. After insurance fixed it, it was put up for sale on Ebay. |
