On the 1125R, was wondering if anyone has mounted a GPS unit to it. I have the Ram Mount for my GPS unit was wondering where on the 1125R I could put the base for it. I was thinking the handle bars, but wasn't certain if there's room nor what size the bars are.

Exactly so. The same ram mount hardware works perfectly with my Garmin Quest. You can use the reservoir mount on either side, but it seems most flexible on the brake lever side.

Bingo, that was the picture I was looking for. What was the base mount you used? Also, any problem with it getting to close to the fairing?

The Zumo comes with a mount for the back of the unit with a RAM ball. It also comes with the arm and the reservoir mount. This arm gives you more choices: http://www.gpscity.com/item-ram-mount-plastic-double-1-inch-socket-arm-and-center-rotation/rapb200-12.htm

There seems to be plenty of clearance.

I've got mine on the clutch side. There is plenty of clearance for the fairing and the handlebars can travel fully without any binding. I also had a quest that I zip tied to the clutch side with the quest mounting bracket.

Either side should work on yours, as the ball mount on the base plate is centered. On the Quest it is on the right side - so the brake master gives more flexibility in positioning.

I bought the reservoir mount in order to put it a bit further away and more in the center

here are some pics

Ccryder,

I got that arm that turns in the middle and it makes a big difference. I can now position the GPS much more easily. If anyone is using the RAM system to mount something I would highly recommend the arm mentioned by Ccryder. There are still limitations, but they are greatly reduced by the middle turning design.

Where were you able to find that reservoir mount? I didn't see one listed on that website. I have a ram mount on my M2, and I'd like to be able to use most of the same hardware on my 1125. But the reservoir mount (that bar and ball thing) would be perfect.

That reservoir mount came with the Zumo GPS

I also ordered another so Sunny and I are both "wired" so we can put the GPS on either of our bikes when we ride together.

Got mine from Amazon but if you're just looking for the mount hardware that fits to your brake or clutch mounts, you might have to head to the hardware store. The Ram mount is the complete setup for about $70

I took a little different approach. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures.
