So I finally broke my belt last night.

I was horsing around on a back road with a friend on his TL1000 clutching up 2nd gear wheelies when "POP"....

Didn't even get them very high before it happened.

Of course I had to take a ton of abuse from my brother when he got there with the trailer!

So I don't think I will have it done in time to drag race next weekend, but will post a new date when ready.

Too bad,Scott.I DO,however,still have my old "take-off" belt/pullies from my X1.

I did them early to avoid failure.And you're doing isolators...have fun with them!

I have a post in "Old School Buell" for the latest and greatest part numbers for the belt and upgraded isolators.

I will then check to see if Manchester has them in stock. If not I will order from Al.

I wish I had the removable plate like your X1 Greg, but I've read enough about it that I think I will pull it off ok.

It will just take patience, time and money as usual....

Scott I got two tether kill switches, one is open, and one is closed, so I can cut the wire and hook it up and see which one works still no manual for the bike, and the last thing I need to be race ready, just figured out where to put it so will work on it next week,

I thought you were going to be there tonight but I guess the belt breaking screwed that up,

something I got to think about happening to, and now they said fifth gear can lock up under racing conditions.

Hi Scott I followed Greg today and met with him at the rest stop on RT 93 in New Hampshire,

I was waiting for him wanting or needing a pot of coffee, been awhile for me to get out this early so was not use to it and only had half a cup before meeting him,

He called me and I had to get ready and went out the door in a half hour,

I think we were the only two riding from the Group today.

Let me know when you go to NED Scott I should be ready once I install the tether switch and lowering straps which I should have done when putting on the dark horse sliders but did not think of it.

Hi Tattoo I have a orange one painted with truck bed liner that might come off easy,

I also have a kick ash air box cover that has lights inside, my son bought the lights for his bike and were not bright enough and I glued them in and now going with something different so when I get the new one I was planning on selling it on ebay, but you can have the one painted with the truck bed liner.

My legs are shot...between mountainbiking Arcadia S.F. friday afternoon to yesterday's Superslab between rts.24/93.NH wasn't too bad,we found a couple good roads...i think

I am ready to ride as long as I got gas money? dam bike loves to drink so sometimes I am broke,
