Make sure that you have the return and throttle cables on the throttle tube in the correct position. Next insure that the cables are in their guides and finally ensure that the handle portion is in it's grove and moves easily. You can Assembly this off the bar to get it right than do the assembly on the bar. Also ensure that the end of the grip isn't dragging on the end of the bar. Not all bars are truly universal. Joe |

hey Joe...! Thank you for helping with this issue...! I've been fumbling with this for a couple of days now...So I will give your instructions a try...like installing throttle off the handlebar and see how that works...! Thanks again! Cheers Adrien |

Adrien I usually have to try a couple of times before I get the cables to lie in the troughs in the housing. Getting the tube seated in the housing with the cables in the troughs is like a three handed job with room for one. Not meaning to insult but one cable opens the throttle the other assists the return spring in closing the throttle, make sure they are routed correctly on the throttle tube. Good Luck Joe |

Do ur new bars have the index hole? If not u'll need to drill one, use the old bars for reference........... |
