Just ordered a pair of these @ $29.00 in XL - they sound like a great deal. This may not be the right forum, sorry, but thought I'd pass it along, for those Uly riders like me that ride in the rain instead of washing their bike. I think those would be great in colder weather. In mild to hot weather I like my armored mesh gloves even when it is raining. They don't get heavy and soggy, and if my fingers get a little chilled I just turn on the grip heaters. |

""I like my armored mesh gloves even when it is raining"" God bless you, Rwven, if you can ride around all day with wet gloves on ... I must be too much of a wimp, I need dry hands on the controls. . |

you can *wash* a Uly? It seems so. When I got my Uly back after its 1k service last year, someone had definitely washed it. Of course, you'd never know it to look at it now... Yet another argument for doing one's own service. (Message edited by atoms on June 16, 2008) |

When God wants my Uly washed, he'll make it rain. . |

FWIW... Received the Olympia Gore-Tex over glove today - very pleased. They fit well and are well made, with grippy rubberized palms, that should work well in the rain. I have freakishly large gorilla-like hands (12-12.5), so I'll use them as my summer rain glove by themselves, or with a liner on those chilly rainy days. They fit me as a glove, not an overglove, though. $29.00, is the best part. . |

Yet another argument for doing one's own service. That being said, while my bike was in for service, they found a couple of things that were failing (hadn't failed yet), and they replaced or ordered them, so there is a reason to have somebody else do service too (as long as they know what they are doing). I was able to decline the washing of the bike, so it's as dirty now as it was before I rode it in. Wayne |
