So I have gone nearly 2 years since I have seen another CityX outside of a dealer. Today I saw two. One downtown Seattle near the market @ 3ish. Guy with a hero blue riding with another chap on a silver raked out chopper. Other was another blue cityx heading west bound 520 near Montlake @6 ish. By chance are either of you BadWebbers? |

Funny, the City-X is our number one Buell seller.... I wonder why? maybe it is because I am biased. (Loosing two more this week from the showroom) |

maybe it is because I am biased. No it's because you sneak up behind potential customers and pounce on them like a white rabbit in a Monty Python sketch. |

TIM: Well, that's no ordinary BUELL! ARTHUR: Ohh. TIM: That's the most filthy, dirty, and muddy street hooligan you ever set eyes on! ROBIN: You tit! I soiled my armour I was so scared! TIM: Look, that City-X got a vicious attitude a mile wide! It's a Uly wantabee! GALAHAD: Get stuffed! TIM: It'll do you up a treat, mate. GALAHAD: Oh, yeah? ROBIN: You mangy Scots git! TIM: I'm warning you! ROBIN: What's it do, skitter across puddles? TIM: It's got loud, knobby-- eh-- it can slog about-- look at the MUUUUUUD! ARTHUR: Go on, Bors. Show it what a real bike is! BORS: Right! Silly little Bueller. One rabid stew comin' right up! TIM: Look! [rumble, grumble, bark] BORS: Aaaugh! [dramatic chord] [clunk, 1st gear] ARTHUR: Jesus Christ! TIM: I warned you! ROBIN: I done it again! TIM: I warned you, but did you listen to me? Oh, no, you knew it all, didn't you? Oh, it's just a harmless little City-X, isn't it? Well, it's always the same. I always tell them-- ARTHUR: Oh, shut up! TIM: Do they listen to me? ARTHUR: Right! TIM: Oh, no... ARTHUR: Run away! Run away! KNIGHTS: Run away! Run away!... TIM: Ha ha ha ha! Ha haw haw! Ha! Ha ha! .... ARTHUR:... And we'd better not risk another taunting assault. That bike's dynamite. Nobody expects the Full Monty dramatic license taken, no actual Buells were harmed or injured during the previous scene, we now return you to the reason coffee should not be drank at 11 PM. |

No but I did get to heckle Eric I during his show at Seattle The crowd was perfectly quiet and I busted the "Well it doesnt have so much SPAM in it" classic old lady voice... priceless. It was even better than staying in a Holiday INN Express last nite |

Since this is sort of a seattle thread I figure I would post this. I was at DHD today and they had a new (2007) xbr race bike. This is another fully faired orange bike. I didn't get any pictures of it, but it looks identical to the 2004 model I posted about late last year. It has the rear mounted custom exhaust. Interesting part is the price, it had a sticker on it for $17,995 but they had it "marked down" to $15k OTD. I asked about and they really seemed interested in getting rid of it. You should buy it Brian, and strip the exhaust off of it for your MudMuell. |

Speaking of Heros I saw one while I was coming back from Portland a day or so ago, think it must have been somewhere between Toledo and Centralia -- buddy was mid-sentence and I was like, "hey, a hero!" Needless to say he was confused. It really is a pity that Buell doesn't do something to let us Buellers get connected locally -- a yearly meet of WA riders would be cool. Ahh well... ...I do think I saw that race(replica?) bike you mentioned at a dealership last year -- was it the half orange side and half black side one with the full faring? If I remember right that one was marked at 16 something last I saw it. Or maybe not, that one wasn't a actual race bike, it was just one with a custom faring and exhaust if I remember right -- 50/50 chance. As much as I think the full faring is cool and all, it seems to make the Buell a bit to generic for me -- besides who wants to cover up their purdy engine? I also saw a orange R with a chain conversion, custom rear swingarm and underseat exhaust last summer at a dealership around here somewhere. You see some interesting stuff some days -- though I avoid the dealerships these days like the plague so as not to get the leper treatment. Cheers! |

I took these pix a while ago at Downtown Harley (12/03) of a red Buell drag-bike:
Don't know what happened to it. |

We had 16 go last week, 6 this week it ebs and flows, in the winter it is usually just me and ULYGUY riding in the mud out by belfair. we do it all year long. WE are hosting the Washington state HOG rally June 26-29. come down for that festivities, it is guaranteed to be a zoo. Shame that the BRAG group and umbrella disappeared. I would be great to have a Buell state gathering. Even last year at Sport bike NW, you could count on two hands the total number of Buells there. Maybe we could start planning it for next year as SPNW is already set for this year.... |

My GF and I will both be at SBNW on our Buells. I've done it the last two years, and it is fun and very well organized. I've seen CityXslicker and Ulyguy there both times...... http://www.soundrider.com/sbnw/About.htm http://www.soundrider.com/sbnw/Schedule.htm (Message edited by debueller on June 18, 2008) |

I will talk to Tom about a Bueller Discount for Next year. Repeat offenders always get the discount for attending the year before. Good times, well worth the do. The current management team has Nixed all summer vacations so for me, my trip will be in the winter down to Baja California. (some damn nice riding there) |

I just got in from a walk, I saw the same guy I saw on 520. I got a better look this time. White male, early 30's, blue Cityx, wearing a buell branded leather coat, and a 1970's era 3/4 helmet with clear snap on face shield. He was heading toward Queen Anne. I can't believe someone youngish wouldn't be on BW. |

Thats ANDY, he is on onwebsite on our Roll Call page. That is his Second Buell, his first was a XB12Scg. and if it was Andy (that helmet is a dead giveaway) he only acts like he is in his thirties |

Who's riding the Lightning (or maybe city-X) that I keep seeing going in the Thorn Lane entrance to Ft. Lewis in the mornings? |

If its a Valencia Orange bike, that is Thad, He is on a XB12Scg. he works at the base and his fiance used to be our finance girl, the bridge kept her on that side of water. It truly is a small world, Introducing a New Bueller to the world every chance I get. |

Nope, I think it's a black one. Not sure, i know it's a dark color. And he may just be using Perimeter Road for his commute, or he may be going in the base. I hear that the Puyallup shop is selling Buells like hotcakes. Although I've always wondered how fast hotcakes sell. . . |

If you go with me for breakfast, they go pretty fast Short stack with bacon is just getting started. Which is probably fell off the diet wagon. So on the state Buell gathering, what have y'all heard about S.P.L.A.S.H? Looks like it has a big local Buell following. |

Man, SBNW chose their day perfectly -- I am getting back from my honeymoon on the 20th, so now I need to see if I can convince her to swing down there -- maybe for just Sat though. Good thing she likes motorcycles! Yeah, a Buell gathering would be nice -- once a year at least! |
