I have a low seat off a XB9SL and would like a select seat. Let me know if you are interested. It's in excellent shape. |

piece of carpet? Open your current seat, remove foam, reinstall. Find a local upholstry shop to help out. |

I have an XBS Low and Select seat, willing to trade one of them for a SCG seat. If your talking about the seats you just got on the tail swap with me, then I'm pretty sure you have the stock XB9S seat and the Select seat. I bought the bike used so I'm not 100% sure, but I'm about 95% sure it was the stock seat and not the low version. So you should still be able to go lower with the lightning low seat. That is unless you already traded the stock seat for the low seat. |

I've gotten three offers for the select seat for their low seat and all 3 that sent pix, look like this...
which if I'm not mistaken is the same one as this...

the low seat is lower than the scg seat which is what you have on your bike.notice the squared look to your seat area it is different on the low seat. |

if i had to take a guess it's about 1/2" lower than yours. look at my profile that is the low seat. (Message edited by ustorque on June 17, 2008) |

Ya, it's the stock seat not the low version. They look similar but the low looks like there is less foam on the side (thinner sidewall) than the one on the bike. And the angle ramping up to the airbox cover also appears greater on the low version suggesting it is lower. Ya if you pull Ustorque's profile pic up and put it side by side to your bike it doesn't look like the low seat at all. (Message edited by lightningstrikes on June 17, 2008) |

Don't the Scg's have the lightning low seat on them as stock, or are they different seats? |

Looks like the same seat to me. I still think you can go lower by going with either one of the seats shown above. I'm 98% sure that the seat you have is higher than either one of those. |

BY the looks of your bike you are mechanically inclined. You could post a add on badweather or buellxb.com, asking anyone if they are interested in trading your stock height rear shock(blue coil) front forks, and kick stand(leg only), for there CG stuff. I did this with a guy from Florida back in the winter and it worked out great! The hardest thing was trusting the guy to ship his stuff the same time I shipped my stuff. OR you could drive and meet and trade if fairly close($4 gas). |
