I recently wrote that I had fitted Tuono mirrors to my Uly and felt that they were mainly cosmetic, as they didn't have such a good field of view. I withdraw that comment. I looked through the posts on here and found that someone, (apologies, but I'm not sure if it was paochow, maximum, or whoever), and they had fitted Kawasaki KLR vibration isolators to their Tuono mirrors. I have done the same and it has transformed the mirrors!!! Not only are the mirrors crystal clear, but the extra 1" or so of height has positioned them perfectly for me!!! |

Will the Kawasaki KLR vibration isolators work with the stock mirrors? Looks like an useful product. |

Thank you for posting this and bringing to my attention the KLR isolators. I was thinking about getting the Tuono mirrors because I love the look. Now that I know that there's a way to make them functional as well I'm totally sold! Thanks |

Anyone got a link to get a set of these isolators? Edit: Found this after a quick search. Are these the isolators you speak of? http://www.klr650.com/MrVibIso.htm (Message edited by mike_dinger on June 15, 2008) |

I Googled "Kawasaki KLR mirror vibration isolators" It showed me a link to the Whitehorse gear site. They sell them for $13 a pair. I havn't looked at any of the other links yet. Before I do anything I need to find out if any of our sponsors carry them. I'd much rather order a pair from them. |

"Will the Kawasaki KLR vibration isolators work with the stock mirrors?" Answer to your question is, No they wouldn't fit the stock mirrors. |

"Answer to your question is, No they wouldn't fit the stock mirrors." Why? They are M10 threads, which is the same as the stock mirrors (and the Tuono mirrors). |

Joe Solo - Yes, they fit the standard Uly mirrors. For anyone interested, yes, I got mine from the Whitehorse Gear http://www.whitehorsepress.com/advanced_search_res ult.php?keywords=vibration+isolators&whpsid=b025cc 4035828c0fc29d84c06118fea2&search_in_description=1 &x=0&y=0 |

Is it just me, or do they look like the same sort of thing that's at the base of Blast mirrors? Unfortunately not listed seperately from the mirror...but maybe I'll try one since I have a pair here in the drawer, to see if it's better than a stock Uly mirror. |
