the showa shock on my x1 rides like a pogo stick. the guy I got the bike from gave me an extra showa shock that he had gotten and I was wondering 1) will it work on my 2000 x1 lightning? It looks like it is about an inch shorter do I need a bracket or will the swing arm move and make up the diffrance. and 2) does is need a cover like the one on my bike? Here is a link to a pic of the two shocks http://mptrackclub.com/Photos/cb750f/DSC05393.JPG |

The pic of the one not on the bike is the newer one, it does not use the cover that was a cheap fix. You will need a different front shock mounting bracket. |

Any Dealer can provide you with both the part number and the part itself, if ebay and Badwebber's fall through. They don't have any more service parts for the dangerous shocks, like your longer one. |
