You guy's have my beloved 11 down at your place now , The hole is right down the road on Tyler Blvd , I was East bound on Tyler , was banking left onto Clover ....right between the East and west bound lanes , I also reported a huge one I saw on Rt 20 and 306 , Going down to make a police report Sat morning...... |

Thurstonbuell, Sorry to hear about your rims. I bent the front one a while ago on a pothole here in NY. I guess lightweight really means flimsy. Hope you are back up and running soon. I was thinking about the "Villain Black" rims due to the fact that the exhaust blows on the back rim all the time. Mike |

For cleaning purposes only the silver rims are the way to go since there's no coatings to worry about damaging. |

Disclaimer - I AM COLOR BLIND! I had a 12Ss that was black with the amber wheels. It was striking. IMO I am not sure how it would mesh with the blue frame. (See disclaimer, above) |

"For cleaning purposes only the silver rims are the way to go since there's no coatings to worry about damaging." I second that, not to mention if you go through tires often they will not nick or scratch. As for color scheme, they may not look all that great... (Message edited by interex2050 on June 12, 2008) |

I am sure you could order them from a dealer... Or just give Andy a call... Here are the part numbers: Front (stardust silver) G0110.02A8WAX Rear (stardust silver) G0309.02A8WAX I hope those number aren't outdated, but either way it should set you in the right direction if you do decide on them. I imagine that some photoshop wizardry would really help in the decision process... |

My dealership has swapped out the Hero Blue on one of their 1125Rs. When I first saw it I thought it looked really cool. As time went on, it just didn't seem to fit. The Amber or Orange (is there an orange?) would probably be your best bet since they're complementary to the blue frame. Silver would probably be OK since there's the forks and other shiny bits here and there. If you got the muffler coated silver I think it could look really nice. I haven't shooped anything in a while but I could give it a shot. I'm pretty busy riding my bike lately though, not sure if I'd get it done in time. |

IMHO the Amber looks best, the silver 2nd place, and the Hero Blue I saw in person 3rd. The silver could be better depending on if any other mods were done to the bike. If you could get the controls anodized amber and some amber bar ends I think it would really compliment the amber wheels. YMMV and all that. I know lots of people who think the 1125R is ass-ugly. |

Loretta has Amber wheels, Valencia Orange Trans air-box from an 07 City-X and gold bar-ends. I originally wanted to use red trans wheels with a Cherry Bomb air-box, but got a great deal on the Amber wheels.

the orange on zac's bike is definitely badass... i believe that if i was ever to be in a position where new rims were in order for my 11, i would probably go with black or red. i LOVE the red on the 12r's... i would change the airbox to the same thing, then add red throughout the fairings to make it blend well. these 11's are certainly black enough out of the factory; black is definitely my favorite color on any vehicle, though the frame and stock wheels with the blue sparkles really nicely in full daylight... i think it adds a lot of class to the bike; as opposed to the gaudy paint schemes that you see on gsxr's, r6/r1's and ninja's and such. |

I have to agree with Pizzaboy. I think these things look supersonic standing still and dont need fancy paint schemes with overbearing graphics to look cool. The bikes performance speaks for itself |
