So what is the seat hierarchy lowest to highest? I getting a 2006 ULY this evening which has a 2007 seat on it. This is lower then the stock 2006 right? Just didn't seem as low as some of the Ulys I have test rode. So is the "low" seat lower and the 2008 the same as the low seat? I test rode a 2008 and I could flat foot it but this bike with the 2007 seat I am on my toes. |

'06 standard seat is the most comfortable on longer rides, it is higher/wider/deeper. The '06 low is as wide, a couple of inches lower, gel pad in the seat area, a little firmer, better for shorter trips, speed runs are easier because it is a less grabby material that makes side to side transitions easier, and for around town for reaching the ground. '07 seat is higher than the '06 low, narrower at the front with more of a step at the back of the driver seat area. Some where in the archives there is a side by side comparison with pictures of all three done by M2NC. |

07 is effectively shorter than 06. If I jam the family jewels into the gap between the 07 seat and the airbox, I can get both toes on the ground. On the 06, I would need stilts. |
