Buell's runnin' good at the Torco NHRA Nationals this weekend. I'll see how they fair in the eliminations on Sunday. Dave, thanks for the info on the clutch, I believe Speedy from the club had mentioned the same thing. So far the clutch has normal feel, I haven't riden the bike since however I will take it for a ride to find out if it happens again. If it is indeed the detent plate is it a critical problem that needs to be addressed right away? Or is it just a nuisance problem? Later Kurt |

I'm sure it'll break completely one day at the wrong place/time. The early ones were replaced with a much thicker plate. My S3 went from the occasional difficult shift/false neutral to not being able to change out of 3rd. Where's the races held? (New to the area ya know. Went from 10 mins from Barbers to the north-west burbs. Thank goodness 'spring' is finally here. Good weather for March) DAve |

I am registered for Buell Inside PAss track day June 10 at Road America. I am also registered at AmericInn hotel in Plymouth Mon- Tues night. Due to work, it is very unlikely that I will be able to attend. If anyone is interested in my Inside PAss registration and/or hotel registration, call me anytime on my mobile 708 373-5445. I'm looking to unload and recover some costs if possible, and would be willing to give someone a deal of a lifetime! Let me know ASAP. For those going up there, ride safe and have fun. |

track day was AWESOME. perfect weather. everyone did really well, even nic on his StreetTriple... it was his first track day ever and i know he's addicted already. the demo rides were great too. i rode a Lightning, a SuperTT, and the 1125r TWICE ! love that bike. the new group 'sport bike track time' seems fairly organized... almost too much in the morning... a little too controlled, but it loosened up in the afternoon and became really fun. the last session was great ! john & others, sorry you couldn't make it !!! glad zac could take advantage of that extra last-minute opening. overall, a GREAT day !! |

Frank, Aside from your TV interview did you do a interview for Popular Mechanics as well? I was reading the article in this months issue on house inspection and it has a quote from an inspector Frank Lesh. Your getting popular (no pun intended). Later Kurtis |

Kurtis, Yes, that was me. I was in NYC last Fall for a "Media Tour" with PM, TOH, Martha Stewart Living and a couple of other magazines. Pretty much kept me off the bike for the past year or so. Frank |

Be careful and good luck to you Kurt! For anyone planning on riding to Homecomming next Thurs. morning: Hope all of you have made plans to go, tickets, track day, accommondations, etc. If you would like, Hickman and I have discussed a more direct {than previous years} route to East Troy to save time and energy. Mark and I will leave the south west burbs about 9a, anyone is welcome to join us there, or we would estimate to be at the IL Rte. 20 exit (truck stop) off the North-West tollway (I90) around 10:15a to 10:30a for anyone traveling from the city or points north and west. If some plans have been made already or if anyone has an other route in mind please post them here. Thanks. Call if you need. 815 838-3814 Paul

\blue{ Hello Fellow Buellers, Just a reminder that despite Homecoming, I believe there will be a WWC meeting on Thursday the third at 7 PM at IL H/D. Come one and come all, get your WWC bus cards as I have recently passed those cards out to 2 dozen riders. More folks in the club, the better for all. Keith, } |

WWCluber's Ok it is official I guess since John did not tell me otherwise. Let's have our July Meeting on Thursday July 9th at good ole IL H/D. Homecoming debrief will be a highlight for sure, besides Speedy's racer report, Sam's dealer report and all the new rides scheduled for these hazy, lazy, crazy days of summer. Ride well, Keith PS Greg, I will contact you as I would like to roll down to the event hotel with ya. Later, KwK |
