• Boston is 7-0 all-time when holding a 2-0 series lead in the NBA Finals. • The Lakers have never overcome a 2-0 deficit in the NBA Finals. • L.A. is 4-5 on the road this postseason and has lost 10 of its last 14 road playoff games.

Yeah, but where have the days of Bird, Magic, Jordan, David Robinson, Karl Malone.... I guess I grew up and missed the NBA slipping into such a mundane, ball hogging, show off contest. When was the last time they gave someone accolades for big assists? Since when did the coach become the least important guy? I do love that it was all a throw back as far as the teams involved in the playoffs. Celts, Lakers, Pistons. Now, if they bring back fundamentals..... |

Did you see that shot of Kurt Rambis on the bench today. I remember McHale coat-hanger-ing him like it was yesterday. |

I grew up in VT loving the Celtics in the days of Bird, McHale, Parrish, etc. It drives me nuts that they are trying to run parallels between the 2 current teams and those of yesteryear. Not even close. Those two teams were together for a while and gelled as a team. Both the Lakers and Celts' current offerings were pieced together this season. Please!!! |
