alrighty. i'm out for this thurs, as its my last night of school. no pressure, i don't mean to nag, it'll get done when the time is right so as not to burden anyone. until then it'll be just obnoxious to really put a smile on my wife's and neighbors faces!! |

I can hook you up this weekend with the remap, but my setup is shite for datalogging. Oh right; you're working this weekend. Well, I can dump a race map into your bike tonight if you don't mind sitting around while I write it. (Message edited by scotty_j on June 06, 2008) |

Lots of new faces in here. I think we need to reinforce the ground rules for weekend rides. -Show up with a full tank and an empty stomach. -Maintain your stagger until we get to the twisties. Once we get to the fun parts, stretch it out single-file and you can use the whole road. -No passing other riders on corners, no passing other riders on the right. -No racing. -Keep a safe following distance. -If the guy behind you leaves his blinker on, make the same signal you would for a right turn, but form your hand into a “c”. -If you spot a cop, or even think you spot a cop, pat the top of your helmet. -Pay attention to hand signals and pass them back. -If you need to change which side of the road you’re riding to fix your stagger, point at the ground in that direction to warn the rider behind you. -If you need gas, catch up to the bike in front of you, get his attention, and point at your tank. Pass the message up to the leader. Nobody can hear your puny little horn. -Never take a fork in the road or turn at an intersection until you can see at least one bike behind you. -If you’re bailing on the ride, catch up to the guy in front of you and wave ‘bye. Otherwise we’ll be sending someone back down the road to find you. -Passing cars: Once you’re back in your lane and the oncoming lane is clear, hold out a “thumbs-up,” acting as eyes for riders behind you who can’t see over that hill or around that SUV. If there’s traffic, “thumbs-down.” (duh) -Stop at all kids' lemonade stands. Let the group go if the leading bikes don’t see it; we’ll come back for you. RIDE YOUR OWN RIDE. holy ground rules batman: i don't think i ever recieved this memo before. "this has been a public service announcment from the desk of scott jeffers" would have finished that up nicely. on to more important things, i have already prepared the wife for sunday the 15th(thats right fathers day) the only gift i want is to hook up with the boys and ride, meet the nu-b's. |

Words of wisdom Scott, great job. -If the guy behind you leaves his blinker on, make the same signal you would for a right turn, but form your hand into a “c”. The above is a little known, but official signal for blinkers left on. I wish Damnut would post HIS loop and invite a Sunday ride on IT. I'm X1'ing it this weekend.Scott....But i like passing my best bud's IN corners. Especially when i can reach out and "touch" them!!! |

That's because you're not fast enough for any of the rules to apply, Shawn... And It wasn't all me; I ran this through some of the veterans before posting. |

I posted the "warnings" into their own thread for safe keeping. And Eric's version was a lot more entertaining & all of the warnings were accompanied by consequences. Mostly violent. Eric eats too much red meat. |

Scotty I think there should be a rule in there about how many times you are allowed to bring a ducati to a buell ride. |

If there was, we'd lose our human GPS. Greg could ride a moped every Sunday, and he'd still smoke your a$$! |

That is no ORDINARY Ducati.....That is a Friggin Monster Ducati!!! If you only knew what you were looking at. Greg could have bought 3 of your Buells for what he has into that thing just this year $$$$... That thing belongs on a track!!!
