Well tonight was the first night out since I wrecked I was on the 77 KZ1000 the XB will be layed up for ahwile. I was absolutley fine I enjoyed the ride emensly I was a little aprehensive in the turns mostly cause the bike is older than alot of the folks on this board. But it's good to be back had to share that with you |

Congratulations!! I had to wait eight months or so to get back on that horse, and I was mortified of curves for a long time. Still get that wiggle belly feeling in some of them, but getting better every ride. I think the long lapse was a lot of it. Never had anything get me like that. Glad you didn't have much trouble. I believe fear in any amount is the most dangerous thing to contend with. It's almost as dangerous as fearlessness which has almost taken me out several times! Hope you get that XB back under you soon. Rotzaruck!! |

Congratulations +1 That Kaw is a cool old bike. It should be a lot of fun while the Buell is getting sorted out. Have fun and be safe. Bill |

After dropping mine (85 mph at a trackday), it took me about two months to put it back together and get on the road. And about the same amount of time for the 11 stitches in my leg to heal. The first corner with some gravel made the back tire slip. I was riding with a group of about 12 bikes (mostly Buells) from the local dealership so we were riding at a somewhat sporting pace. I got that empty feeling in my stomach, but I love riding and have now gotten past that. I do believe I ride a little more catiously overall though, and that is a good thing. |
