It may be mathematically correct, but something just does not add up... |

$6K is a great bid. I was told to "get bent", lol. He's firm on the price - I wish him all the luck in getting it. But I'm afriad he may have to sit on it for another 30 years before it's worth that much again. |

How much does it cost to "get bent"? Does that add to the price or subtract from it? |

Apparently it cost $15k to get bent. Maybe that's not US dollars. |

I cannot believe he spent more than $100 per mile! Let's see $26,960.06 divided by 250 miles = $107.84 per mile! And people bitch about $4.00 a gallon for gas! Wait- It looks like he is throwing the gas and the labor to pump it, in FOR FREE!!!!!! Quick! Somebody! Jump on this bike NOW before the price goes up up UP!

This guy bought a bike as an investment like the HD guys did back in the days of waiting lists. He just didn't buy the right bike and dump it at the right time for a profit! Bikes are made to be ridden, not to look at. They are most certainly not good investments except in very rare circumstances. |

he bought it because of a disability and unfortunately he didn't do his homework as to whether it would meet his needs. did a lot of work on it and couldn't use it. kinda feel sorry for the guy. he can't expect someone to pay for his mistakes. |

Nevrenuf, thank you, very well put...Hopefully we can end this thread on that note. "kinda feel sorry for the guy. he can't expect someone to pay for his mistakes." |

I'd like to know what kind of backrest or tail bag rack or whatever it is (the black steel tube frame mounted from the passenger pegs up to the backrest...) he's got on there - Looks kind of functional. Anyone know? |

Seriously, you'd be better off putting back all the stock pieces and selling the parts and bike separate. That's assuming you still have all the stock parts. Some of those parts, like the backrest, are hard to find so you might get good prices for them. |

not_purple, i've already talked to mike about what could be done to help him out and right now he's gonna try and see what happens on ebay. i hope he doesn't have a problem but if he does have a problem with selling it on ebay then he'll try another route that i talked to him about. Mc, i'll shoot him an email to see where he got that back rest from and let you know if i find out. |

Mike pm'd me after I posted and the back rest and saddle bags (and racks shown in the pics) are factory... Hope that helps, but probably not readily available anymore. |
