No "Bad Weather Biker" should admit to it. If I were coming from Hawaii to attend Buell's 25th Anniversary homecoming...I'd tell every one that I rode my bike the whole way! |

Frank, sent you a PM in regards to our route, and ride schedule. It would be great to meet up with you along the route somewhere and ride. Let me know what your plans are... Bart |

Maximum, his son, and I are riding out from Denver, via Rapid City, the Badlands, Sioux City, Anamosa, Iowa http://www.nationalmcmuseum.org/, and on into East Troy. Leaving out on 27 June and each day at the next location. Riders are welcome to join. Camping the first two days, hotel in Sioux City, and probably camping in Anamosa while we check out the museum. Two Uly's and one Blast. PM if you are heading our way. |

"If I were coming from Hawaii to attend Buell's 25th Anniversary homecoming...I'd tell every one that I rode my bike the whole way! " Steve after you riding your Uly back to Colorado in January after that big snow storm they had there, everyone would most likely believe you! I still don't know how you did that. |

Cyclonedon: Timing is everything. The storm had passed through with just enough time for the roads to be cleared (and dry)...the funny thing was the the most hazardous part of the trip was the last two blocks off the main roads to get to my house (which had not been plowed)! I kept saying to myself..."after 1600 miles, I am not going to drop my bike 100 feet from my house". It was a good thing that my neighbors had their sidewalks shoveled! Etennuly: I don't know what you are talking about...everything we read on the internet is surely fact, right? |

Why yes. Everything is is factual and true with the possible exception of things that are not so. I really like this new emocon thingy! |

Bart, Troyyz and Maximum, I am not sure of my route at this time. A lot depends on if the GF can attend this year. I dont think she would hesitate for a minute to jump on her Sporty and ride out with me but have a feeling with her new job and school it will be a matter of time or lack thereof. I will have to plan around her schedule. You damn Uly guys have ruined me. I am selling my XB12R to get a Uly. After seeing Maximums and sitting on one two weeks ago in Utah I am hooked. Frank |

Frank, You won't regret it. Your S2 will fill the void left behind when the sport bike goes away, but the ULY handles like a dream, and with a little tweaking can scoot along pretty well also.

Frank: You have some great Buell's...but your Uly will be the one you ride the most! You getting one soon enough to ride to homecoming? |

"but the ULY handles like a dream, and with a little tweaking can scoot along pretty well also. " I don't even think you need to do any tweaking to scoot along pretty well. On two different occasions, Illinois's finest (police officers), gave me a piece of paper with a court date on it because they thought I was scooting along pretty well. I'm just hoping that all police districts get the new Ulysses police motorcycle and maybe get a nice leather bag that hangs on the handlebars to carry their donuts in. Then their will be happier police officers! |

Vern's going to be there. About a week before, the pressure is going to get to him, and he'll find a way to make the trip. He's going to think back on how much fun it was to sip single malt scotch at the Boiler Room, or to go to Great Lakes Dragway, or watch Bubba Blackwell, or listen to Erik give his opinion of how good a job Marketing did with the TT, or even how cool it was to do a Demo ride on a track (except the crashing part, which wasn't his fault), the really great people he met, the interesting customizations he saw and just HOW MUCH FREAKIN'FUN IT WAS. I know this, because it's how I've wound up at Daytona for Bike Week over 80% of the times I've gone. Besides, (this is the Hook) he'll get orders for paint jobs (I know a couple of small jobs that he'll get orders for, already), and he'll be able to write off the trip as a Business Expense. (I'm really looking forward to another 80 MPH "Parade Lap" of Road America!) |

Steve, I do not think I will have one to ride to Homecoming. I will be riding the S2T. I am in no hurry to sell my XB12R to get a Uly. When I have a weekend free I may ride up to talk to Dave at HCHD. I need to test ride a X and XT in order to figure out what I want. What dealerships in your area are "Buell Friendly"? Frank |

Frank: I think that all three are Buell friendly, although Hi Country seems to have more Bad Web connections (Dave is sales and Zack in Parts). If you go to Sun, then talk to Steve (he has given me the most time and attention). My Friend Troyyz has dealt with RM Buell a lot...and I think that he has some connections there. Let me know when you come up, maybe we can grab lunch or something. |

Thanks for the encouragement Crusty! The only way it could happen is for a "beyond a miracle" event to take place in my business. We have a major load of very tough work to complete before any days off can happen. These pieces are weather sensitive too, so no sunshine, no work, that does allow time for other work though. I don't know how to get time to go to the wifes family reunion on that weekend either. Like a game of cards.....I will play out the hand to the end. You never know when you might draw a card to that inside straight! Folding is for sissys! |

I intend on going too. But you know... S*it Ha**ens. I think I will do a long weekend approach. also, I think I will do the southern route through chicago instead of the ferry. The ferry was very very cool but i think i will be a land lubber and pocket the $100 |
