This is pretty amazing. Seems like in years past the new model rumor thread has already degenerated to total flame war by this time. When/where is the dealer meeting this year anyway? |

I predict and undated version of the 1124r with an improved alternator, extra thermal shielding, and an easier to access dipstick. Now available in Red. |

The 1125R will be offered in 2 colors: black/blue as before, with the addition of Blunder Red, in honor of the crazy sh!t that keeps happening during reviewer test rides. The Blast will remain unchanged. Again. The TT will also be available in Blunder Red, to replace that f'd up white-with-orange-tank thing, and the number panels will be discontinued, since no one actually races it. ~SM |

Swordsman, I could not have said it any better. I would not expect any thing more than "Bold new colors" What would it take for me to go buy an 09? A light helicon single. Think: caviga mito 500. 284lbs 60HP single. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cagiva_Mito (Message edited by barker on May 30, 2008) |

I think some will be shocked, some will be pleased, some will be disappointed, some will be pissed. I think a bike or 2 will be dropped, but replaced with something similar, but better. I think we'll see a very cool naked version of the 1125 that will be better looking than the 1125R. But what do I know? |

but no one knows what the cr means. Sure some know. My sources indicate something with less clothing. I know no more than that. I know others that do but they know it would be too hard for me to not share any inside secrets with my badweb brethren. |

Further, my sources know I am really into things naked and just love my lightning. These same sources also said they could easily find someone to buy my bike, after the new one comes out. Sounds promising to me. |

I just bought an XT. I don't care what they come up with. I'm happy with what I've got. |

Every year the speculation mounts and only a passing hint at the truth is ever revealed. However, if the past is any indication, Buell will certainly build upon the 1125 platform. My only question, how much more naked can the 1125 be made?the muffler is already at max nakedness...ok, remove the front fairing but the radiator must stay..replace with an "S" tail - big deal !! Personally, I can't visualize it looking better than the "R". Give me the bike above with 30+ additional HP and I'm a buyer. |

i like rubberdowns idea, bring back a tube framed model!!! Buell will have at least 1 sale, cause i would be at the dealer putting down a deposit now if it was announced. |

Why would CR not mean Cafe Racer? Wouldn't that be a "lightning" or "S" model? Just a flyscreen that goes well with the pods and a redesigned tail section... Makes sense to me... Seems obvious even. |

In the year 2009 Buell put out two new bikes and accessories... *A lower displacement 700-800cc version of 1125r *Some XB's will get a new frame... OR will cause more years of arguing on badweb |

Looks like the 09 Blast, V twin, liquid about 650cc, 17 inch wheels They kind of failed with the simplicity going with liquid cooled, and there is a big compromise not using the ZTL brakes, and whats with that muffler hanging out back like that, who are they trying to apeal to? The squidly crowd? |

It's a motorcycle company. If they have anything new, they will release it. Sometimes they have something new. Other times they have something "new". I hope this year is not a "new" year. |

I dont know what E Troy and Milwaukee will be doing, but I will be unveiling my off road MUELL project (250cc dirt bike with Blast body work) and probably launching the Street tracker Sportster, a true cross pollination between Buell & Harley based on the 2003 XL883R. Because I am tired of waiting for them to give me the bikes I want |

My prediction: At least 2 bikes will be going away. I say the TT, or maybe the cityx's days are numbered. I don't know how they can justify using the 9 motor for only one model. I think with so many xb variations they are spreading themselves thin. |

Yeah... only one 9 motor... that has to go... But it fills a sweet niche... So bring on the new XB9SX... a naked rotax air cooled lightning replacement! About the same power, but 50 pounds less on the motor, and 20 pounds less on the bike. Then we are ***talkin***. Somebody hide my wallet... |

That 9 motor is nice low vibes and a little rev-ier shame for it to go by-bye 1125 lightning variant [ a real street fighter ] once sorted. fire bolt goes bybye AC lightnings bybye uly and derivatives use improved lump blast stays unchanged.. |
