I'm getting new tires put on tomorrow + I ALWAYS have tire slime & pump except for today = I just rolled in to work with a flat. I didn't have time to look for the culprit in the tire, but I suppose if it had to happen, today was probably the best day. I took the slime out yesterday to get something out of the kit, and didn't put it back. I suppose I'll hitchhike home. |

Similar thing happened to me last summer. Tires were in...and I had an appointment the very next day to get my tires replaced...when all of the sudden it felt like I was riding on memory foam! Timing is everything. Fortunately I did have my repair kit and pump! http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/287016.html?1182674407 |

Doesn't slime make using a plug impossible? Last summer I picked up a nail shortly after putting on a new D616 rear so I plugged it and it's held just fine. I don't think you could even patch a tire after using slime. Certainly ruins bicycle tubes for patching. |

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the irony. |

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the irony. I wasn't sure either...which is why there is a question mark. So maybe the title "An event which puts me into an infuriating situation, but yet is somewhat comical based on the predetermined timing of the solution" would have been better. I didn't have enough space though. |

Of course, a thread entitled 'Ironic' that contains no irony may, in and of itself, be considered ironic. Ironic for its lack of irony, given its title, no? Therefore, the title is correct, after all. Wow, that's ironic! . |
