whats up fellas...I just bought a 97 S1 a few weeks ago and was wondering if anyone has, or has heard, anything about the Shifter Kit from Banke.

the current shifter seems really long and sloppy. Was wondering if this would help.

If the Bankes shifter does not work out. There are couple of options, Bushing kit from American Sport Bike or X1 style shifter can be had on the Buell web site. I would recommend that you pick up a maintenance manual.

I would suggest the X1 style shifter over the Banke unit, I felt it gave better feedback than the Banke unit.

Thanks for the help.

Does the X1 style shifter have shorter travel than the stock?

Mine seems long as hell.
It hits neutral a lot goin between 1 and 2

I would say the throw is shorter but it is a small amount and my just be my imagination. Nice S1!
