Save pics to your local disk drive, open up a free photobucket.com account, upload pics to photobucket account, imagelink to the direct photolink, automatically resized and friendly hosted (for now at least)  | ||

I'd rather have photos uploaded to our server for posterity's sake. That way we avoid losing the image if/when a photobucket or other non-BadWeB resident image is ever removed. The Cool Pics pages offers information on how to compress images to meet the requirments for uploading. I use the jpeg optimizer from http://xat.com/jpegopt/index.html. Image optimizer is even better as it allows compression of other image file formats such as gif and bmp files. (Message edited by Blake on May 28, 2008) | ||

I like the xat program. Can't use it at the day location though. Blake, Do you ever foresee implementing or integrating any on-line photo upload/auto-compression program into the system here? Don't know if that's an option on the new system under consideration. Would sure save a lot of headache though, and probably cause a few headaches for you though. | ||

I like imageshack you just copy the link they provide and you have a thumbnail that can be expanded. Plus my employer hasn't locked it out yet. Joe |
