Ok so I broke down and bought a new D&D. It says I need the new "Y" bracket for the front muffler mount. Is there anyway around this? What is so bad about the current mount? Anyone have one lying around? I know I can get one from Americansportbike but it isn't cheap. I already had to find a "Z" braket because the V&H on there now doesn' use it. Also is there any crazy bolts, washers, spacers needed for the "Z" bracket? Now I have to wait to get my new exhaust mounted. (Message edited by impala on May 24, 2008) |

OK I found a used bracket for a decent price but it doesn't include the regulator orientation change bracket. What is needed to move the regulator? I know the S1/S1W did not need the bracket so maybe there is one somewhere... Thanks! As always... (Message edited by impala on May 24, 2008) |

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/339290.html?1204119110 Among other things the problem with the original front mount is the bushings for it are no longer available. where the rear "Z" mounts bolts to the engine assy there are updated bushings and sleeves available for it....make sure and get those |

ah, the bushings are discontinued, but were avaliable! I bought the last 4 in the united states that i could find. 6 dollars a piece plus shipping is waaay cheaper than the aftermarket mount. |
