all . . .. . due to the untimely demise of my V&H can, I picked up a wilyco, carbon fiber type . . . . I've not starting the dismounting drill yet, but was wondering if the wilyco uses the stock Z bracket . . .it kinda looks like it does, but don't want to go on a treasure in the garage if I can avoid it thanks |

Bomber, I'm not familiar with the Wilyco. Anyone else? |

Wileycos are a direct bolt in to a stock set up. Everything should have come with your exhaust. Dave |

Bomber, If the c/f one mounts the same as the stainless steel one then it uses the same brackets as the stock can. I've got the stainless one currently mounted on my M2 if you want to get a close look and if we're in the same vicinity anytime soon. I've just emailed you my cell number as I'll be off the web for a few days. |

I have a stainless Wileyco on my X1W and it uses the stock brackets. The front one did NOT want to line up so I drilled a new mounting hole where it wanted to go and 1500 miles later, no problems. |

I have a Ti Wileyco on my '01 M2L. Stock brackets front & rear. I reused the stock front bolt in the "y" bracket, & had to shove the front adapter pipe into the "y" bracket with some force, but once the bolt was in, no stress on the header or muffler. Make sure the bolts & washers are all on the same sides on the "z" bracket in back. (so as not to hang the muffler crooked) |

Help...I took a V&H off of my 2000 S3T. It used 2 vertical bolts down through the rear bracket into the top of the muffler. The wileyco rear straps appear to need horizontal holes for mounting. My rear bracket may not be stock as it has no horizontal holes. Does anybody have a picture of the rear mounting? |

I have a 2000 s3t with a wileyco. It uses the stock z bracket. It's basically a stamped metal hanger that looks like a "Z" when viewed form the top. You could probably pick one up cheap or make one. I'll look to see if I can dig up a pic. |

Here is a pic from the service manual. It only shows one set of bolts top and bottom even though there is two - the "Z" bracket (4) attaches at two points on the top and two on the bottom. Also, the pic shows the old style front support bracket (8). I believe you need the new "Y" style.
