I was looking at the Race Suspension page on the Buell site...I love the last words of advice Buell gives...

"CAUTION: Engine-related Performance Parts are intended for the experienced rider only. Buell® motorcycles modified with some Buell® Pro-Series performance engine parts must not be used on public roads and in some cases may be restricted to closed course competition. Throughout this online catalog all engine related performance parts identified with the race flag symbol are intended for racing applications only and are not legal for sale or use in California on pollution-controlled vehicles. Alterations of emission related components constitutes tampering under the US EPA guidelines and can lead to substantial fines and penalties. In other words: YOU ARE A GROWN UP. ACT LIKE ONE."

I am still miffed that I missed that one. They were still available when I got my bike, but I didn't put two and two together. Now they are gone.

At this point it seems like to much work to bother.

If we were "grown-up" we probably wouldn't be riding sporty motorcycles would we?

After at little "incident" tonight with the fuzz. I am glad I have a quiet stock pipe.

Jamie,

Why do I have this mental picture of you on the sidewalk near the Pike Market, re-enacting a chase scene from "the Italian Job"?

Thats FUNNY! It was also one of the first things I did with my Uly..... Up the handicap ramp and "jumped" it of the curb.
I was riding with one of my Harley buds... all he could do was shake his head.

You can do it for $90 a pop in Columbus, Georgia. Might be more the second time... I'm not finding out.

You know, that is just friggin' great! First... "not in the Living Room", then "not on the Bike Path" (It's a "Bike"!) and now the Sidewalk! What's next? CHURCH!?!

it is a city cross damnit, I am just function testing its capabilities.

If you think sidewalks are bad, try explaining what you are doing in a skate park with it at 345 am ; ) DAMHIK

"not on the Bike Path" (It's a "Bike"!)

I got up to 90mph on the riverwalk in Columbus, Georgia... at 2:30 in the morning. Didn't get caught for that one.

Here's what happened last night.

I ventured down to the International District (Chinatown) to grab a bowl of noodles.

Parking was tight, and frankly I don't trust the drivers (flame suit on). So I pulled up on the sidewalk. As I was about to leave several cars blocked my access off the sidewalk, so I was forced to ride the entire block on the sidewalk. As I did, a cop rolled past. He stopped through the lights on and turned around to get me.

I of course darted around the corner, hopped off the curb and gave it the boot.

Funny thing happened though. There was a black guy openly dealing drugs in the middle of the street. He was so blatant I could see the crack while doing 30mph.

The cop came around the corner saw it too. Last thing I saw was the black guy spread out across the hood.

Sometimes those drug dealers are quite handy. : )

You should see the scrutiny I get parking in a handicapped space with mine, and I have
a "gimp plate" on it! You'd be amazed at the number of times people complain about the
motorcycle being there without even looking at the plate.

Many cops and at least one DMV employee are unaware of the existence of handicapped
motorcycle plates. It's entertaining at times, and at others it's a pain in the butt.

I have seen a few handicapped plated bikes around here.

There is guy that has a motoguzzi, and I noticed he has one of these futuristic titanium running legs.

Doesn't that tv Dr.character from "House" have a duck?

Stew Goddard rides his R6 and he's paralyzed from the chest down. He has electric outriggers that retract and extend. He keeps a chair at each of a few different ride destinations where the staff know him.

Cool guy - and yeah, he has a handicapped sticker too.

Bugger growing up, I'm not interested...

"House" rides a CBR1000 Firebalde Repsol edition -- one of the rides I almost bought before deciding that it was either (or BOTH) a Buell XB or a Triumph 775. Since I wanted a street bike not a track bike it wasn't a contest, XB all the way.

Man, I always park on the sidewalk in Seattle -- hate coming home to Oly where nobody rides and everyone flips out about bikes. F'n cagers are a menace but ohhhh no -- can't ever point it out to them or they get all cranky. It is the state capitol though, so it is a bit old-school.

And the only way I will take my 'bolt through the Market is on the sidewalk, that street is murder!
