Sure we're meeting in Oxford Sunday, but most of the rides are around CT, RI and south-central MA. Any chance you work in the Framingham area? I keep seeing what looks like an S3T (don't know my tubers too good) during my commute. |

Scotty, I went straight home and really didn't get through all the rears like I wanted. The bottom seems the same but she pulls more over 4500rpm. I notice the popping is not as loud as it was. |

Mullet- We generally roll 'til around 3, but you can break off whenever you want (if you know where you are-- I never know). Just finished up with Tattoo's bike. Standard 'opti' first impression: Meh. It pops like a b@st@rd. Worse than with the Race ECM. Thanks for the Dogfish! If you want to try & work that pop out, I ought to be around tomorrow evening. Bring your laptop; hopefully you'll be able to maintain a connection and iron it out. |

Attleborro huh? A very close friend of mine just moved up there from Florida... If Attleborro is as small as I remember, you wont be able to miss him, either in a Black Camaro SS with FL tags, or he a a Triumph, and a Buell with a full fairing... ANYWAY... have fun on the ride.... I still have a few months before I get home... Chase |

Thanks a ton Scotty. I had a great time talk'n buell. I can honestly say that I'm not super impressed with opti's race map. It feels a bit quicker and seems to rev up a bit faster. I just don't seem to see what all the 'opti' hype is about. Is he paying these people to hype his stuff. I've driven Mustangs at work that had a basic SCT tune. It was like a night and day difference in the car. You could absolutely feel a big power increase. I put a Bully Dog in a PowerStroke diesel last week. HOLY CRAP, woke that diesel up big time. There's nothing like being able to totally smoke a set of tires on a big ass truck just by stomping on the gas from a dead stop! I'm going to see what I can do tomorrow with trying to get the bad decel pop out of it. If I can't i'll definitely take you up on your offer. |

I put a Bully Dog in a PowerStroke diesel last week. HOLY CRAP If you like the B/D... you should give mine a whirl with custom tunes, no OTS stuff here... in 2wd, it'll roast the rear tires into OD.... BUT, from what I hear, I wont be able to afford to DRIVE my truck, let alone beat on it... Chase |

There is just something about the torque of a diesel. I just thought after reading all the hype about opti's stuff that the bike would have had a little more get up and go. I guess it's just a case of live and learn. |

Hey Scotty. You said I need to change the lower right in the fuel map? What columns & rows should I be changing to help with the decel popping? It looks like the race map has more fuel in that area. |

My Dually put on a nice smoke show! With Propane injection it was a BEAST at will. To bad the Automatic did not feel the same way! |

Check the tuning guide. There's a chart that plainly defines the "popping zone". Copy/paste those values, front & rear, from the race map to your current map and try 'em out. If you keep popping, increase again, and so on, and so on... But datalogging is the key to a real tune. Right now you'll just be dumping fuel into something to make the problem go away. |

Thanks. I just looked the guide over again. I shouldn't be trying to understand all this stuff after having a couple to many beers. If you'd like to give the data logging a try. I'd be more than happy to bring over my laptop & cable tomorrow. Just let me know what time is good for you and i'll be there. I'll buy your breakfast and fuel on Sunday for helping educate me on ecmspy. I'll pm ya my cell #. Thank god this forum has spell check. LOL |
