Every time I close the throttle on my Scg now, I'm expecting to see fire belching out of this Drummer! That is a guttural sound that just adds to the experience of riding a Buell. People two lanes over look to see what's coming down the interstate behind them. The best part is now I no longer have to make excuses for this bike. In the past, sitting in the parking lot, people would swoon over the translucent plastics, marvel at the short wheel base and always ask the question... What is it? During this period, I love to talk about the Trilogy of Technology and watch their eyes light up as the realize... that makes sense! Then I would dread hitting the start button as I know the next comment will be either: 1. Sounds like a sewing machine or 2. Sounds like a lawn mower! NEVER AGAIN!!! Never again will I have watch the light in their eyes dim as I try to make my stock muffler butch up by twisting the throttle needlessly. Never again will I have to say, yeah it does sound like a lawn mower, but it's better then a weed eater! Never again will I start my engine only to see no one noticed! From this day forth I am a proud member of the Drummer Nation (if there is such a thing)I will frighten children and old ladies, I will get thumbs up from the spectators, I will get the over the shoulder "wink & smile" from the ladies standing a block away when they hear MY ROAR! Now not only do I ride a XB Lightning, I also bring the THUNDER!!!! No longer do I ride a run-of-the-mill sports bike, from now on I ride a V-Twin Muscle Bike! Over the top?
maybe... but I'm just really happy I made my purchase! Thank you KDFab!!!

I remember the day I uncorked my bike... what a day. I must have ridden everywhere and dragged people out to listen to my bike. You be careful with that thing... with greater noise comes greater responsibility. You know what I mean. |

Glad you're enjoying drummer. I miss mine. After my XT has gotten fully broken in I'll probably get it on a dyno, put on a Drummer, and then have another dyno run just out of curiosity. |

Be aware that your exhaust can now be used as a homing beacon if you make a mistake and try to run for cover. Not that any of us would do such a thing |

The good news is that the doppler effect helps to keep the forewarning to a minimum. |

What New12R said... Potato, Potato doesn't quite grab my attention as would the sound of swarming, angry bees.... |
