"Damn. It's like a friggin' ghost town out there." Well, it is a desert. Couple that with the dealer support in that region and you have what you have. Posted anon in case things improve in that deserted region. |

Blake, I already miss the posting aid buttons and smileys. I'm very puter illiterate, need all the help I can get. (read that as the easier the better) Pilk |

Totway, that looks great! At first glance I wondered why there was a picture of a Speed Triple, but quickly realized someone had done something pretty cool. -- dan |

That is an aluminum dash I whipped up, I added a Drag specialties tach when I first got the bike and I'm in the process (no o2 sensor yet) of finishing the Autometer air/fuel gauge. Tim |

JVV, Pilk, We'll have another version of the formatting panel loaded when the new software finally gets released and installed. In the mean time... Check out the shortcut emoticon tags available. Many are intuitive...

Neil S. wrote . . . "I know it's a wild idea but check your oil pump fittings . . ." I checked them when I got home tonight and they looked ok. Thanks anyway. Here is another pic of the shock from the front (can you tell I just got a digital camera?)

Road Thing; Gettin' all choked-up over the shot of you and your buddy on the perfect, bone-stock '81 CB900F. I had one just like it. Same color too. Ah, back when you could be the fastest thing on the Ortega Hwy, for 3500 bucks, brand-new out-the-door. |

Java---they were sweet, weren't they? Mine was a demo, '81 model, less than 1000 miles for $2600. Moved to the Bay area and lived about 3 miles from Skyline Drive for a year. Jeez, what a great year... |

hello all, just printed out service bulletin b-016b. this shows the revised part number for the rear isolator kit. does anyone know if this is a service bulletin that gets done only if the isolators are damaged or does it get done regardless. also does it cover the cost of the isolator replacement or do you have to pay for it? my dealer has a service manager who is a schmuck and is not at all informed concerning these things. thanx for the help... orngm2 |

Orange: don't expect Buell to cover that unless you have a failed isolator. I think it says right on it that pre-approval is necessary, no? Peter: so far, so good ... |

Mike, Make sure your username and pw are filled in. I noticed that my browser is not automatically completing all those fields for me since the recent work on the site/BBS. I guess it is having to relearn since the pages have changed? ISP says he can find no problem on our end. I did notice that one page took a bit onger to load. It had the "BAD Web Services" banner. I disabled that particular banner. Maybe that was the trouble? |

Totway, I applaud anyone changing their bike to suit themselves. As long as you like it, that's all that matters. I like the way you trimmed the flyscreen to fit the new lights. Does this set-up actually throw more light out at night? |

Blake, User name and password are filled in. Sometimes I can get the New Messages utility to work by first trying to find new since my last check, then when it says none I try a 1-hour, then when it says none I try a 1-day search, then when it says none I try something like 13-hours, then when is says none I just check the main discussion page directly and then lather rinse repeat the process and sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. I've even tried clearing out all the buffers, logging completely out of the workstation, logging back in, and then do the dance routine again. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. Currently using IE version 5.00.3315.1000. Using something older at home along with an ancient version of Netscape, and oddly enough even though the ancient Netscape occaisionally crashes it is most consistent with the New Messages utility working. Oh well. |

Blake, If this helps any, I was able to use the New Messages without my password. I hit the search button before I reallized that my password wasn't remembered. I tried posting without the password, but that doesn't work.(Which is a very good thing ) Jerry |
