1) Yes, tires with pressure in them is good. 2) Yes, having tires is recommended. 3) Yes, you should change your oil at intervals. 4) Yes, your oil should be of a brand you recognize. 5) Yes, there is an interval on transmission fluid changes. 6) Yes, fluid is recommended. 7) Belts and chains are both good. 8) No, the simple use of teflon tape is enough to get your ass bounced from BadWeb faster than you can say internet troll. 9) Farkles need justification? I don't see any conflict. |

Oh this topic is just screaming out for an argument. All of those are personal preference. Your gonna have a disagreement on most if not all topics. But here goes. 1) Depends on the tire. 2) That would take to long how about the ones you don't recommend-Dunlop 208 3) every 2500miles 4) Most oils made for the air cooled V-twins, all though I never liked Syn3. 5) 2500miles-change with the motor. 6) Formula + 7) I like the belts-Cleaner, Quieter and no lubrication, unless it squeaks riding around then a little WD-40 takes care of that. 8) I use Teflon Dope or paste 9) YES lol Ft_bstrd (Message edited by wantxbr on May 19, 2008) |

1) The recommended PSI for my Diablos, lower by a few pounds for twisties 2) Diablos for street, CorsaIIIs for track/street 3) 2500 as suggested by manufacturer 4) H-D oldschool (I'm in WA, YMMV) 5) 2500 6) H-D oldschool across the board 7) Belts (it's what I run, no maint., bulletproof) 8) I go straight to the duct tape (seriously, where do people use teflon tape on our engines?) 9) Fixed belt tensioner (it's what I run, don't see a reason to mount a springy one, feel free to enlighten me on this one though) *10)Stock pipe (have gotten to change it yet, thinking SpecOps or maybe Rebel Racing -- wicked sound!) *11)Stock ECM, no spying yet *12)Stock air filter (no reason to change yet, don't like maint. on air filters -- it's irrational, I know) I like this thread -- you can put what you do without it becoming an argument. Just don't be a jerk and assume your way is "right" and we can all get along. Personally I would like to know what everyone runs and their thinking behind it (if any). Knowledge is a good thing. Cheers! Oh, +1 on the 42 (Message edited by retrittion on May 19, 2008) * = suggested additions to "the list" (Message edited by retrittion on May 20, 2008) |
