Joe, I went out to Roberts Track and Trail today. AWESOME! You can ride a 4 wheeler out there on the track and the trails. They have some awesome double jumps and if you dont want to do the jumps you can ride around them. Tank you would like this place. Good place to play with the DR. goody |

Joe, I will probably be out there next Sunday, Rob said he would be open...Tank, you can ride around all the jumps/doubles...This is an amateur/intermediate track. I say amateur because you can litterally ride around the whole track and not hit one jump. Let me know if you guys wanna go and we can meet up with some folks from Tide Water Dirt Riders. Goody |

I guess I could trailer the ol' DR250 up there, if the 650 isn't put back together yet. Hopefully it will be, though. I'm in! |

Mike, Im sure we can do it. I've rebuilt quite a few and 2smokers are easy. You have a vintage bike that if Im right is one of the first water cooled KX dirt bikes. You can put all new plastic on it and redo the motor for minor $$ Im in and a hell of a lot cheaper than the dealers... I do it for fun. |

Tank, who did you get to do the shock on your DR650, there are plenty of after-market companies that can do it a lot faster and cheaper if you haven't got it back yet. Pro-Action come to mind, thats who I have used in the past. |

Hey Tank, What was the name of that Exhaust Sealant you mentioned? (God I hope it's not "Exhaust Sealant") The Drummer is in route and I want to be ready when it gets here. Oh, by the way? Do you have the capability to reset the CEL? It's my first inspection and I know with a car, you can't get an inspection with a dash light on. I'd hate to fail only because it's been less then 50 run cycles since the error code tripped the CEL. Thanks! |

Todd, The shock went to Rick at Cogent Dynamics near Ashland, NC. Heard good things on TT and ADV. It's on it's way back as I type. Mel, I used Permatex high temp gasket sealant(the black stuff). Worked great. Yep, I can reset just about everything. If your CEL stays on, it means there is still a problem. If it were just an isolated event, the light would go out but the code would be stored in memory. I can check that too. Mel, I can come to you if you want. Just let me know in advance. I just upgraded the ECMspy, and have not tested it on my bike yet. I still have the ol' VDSTS stuff tho. |

Hey Duck... I need some of your cards to hand out to the guys when they start drooling over the XB12 next time. They find it hard to believe that someone will give them a Demo ride. (it's unheard of in the import world!) When will you be in at SSHD? I'll swing by and grab a couple from you. |

Hey Tank, Sure come on by! I did read the code it's a 21 which is the exhaust valve issue, which was the same thing it was on for back at my first service interval (the one HRHD told me meant I needed a new muffler because of) So, I don't know if it's tripping erratically or not. I tried to do the 50 run cycles but lost count after about 20 and then realized I was late for something else. needless to say, it is still on. So... Tonight's no good but if your thinking about heading over to for the "Pungo Loop" tomorrow, you can swing by on the way down. I may even be trying to do the install if I get a UPS package in time! |

Speaking of "spottings" I saw an XB (can't remember what it was now) going through the midtown a few weeks back. I was a cool feeling knowing that there was another Buell riding the midtown. I realize now that it could have been 'nilla. |

if the guy you saw was riding BĂtch, then yes, it definitely was I. i like to set the throttle, and then relax on the passenger pillion. i figure i got the cushy back seat, so i might as well use it... despite any resulting nicknames from persons who will remain un-named -cough, cough- mike! -cough- |

No go for tomorrow, unless you bring it here. On the stock ecm, run the Drummer or the filter, not both. Don't change the ecm until the TPS reset is handy. It likely will run, but not very well. I can come to you on Saturday. Send me a PM with your address.(gps, ya know) |

The white S1 near Wolf Trap belongs to Junior. He is a mech at HRHD As for my work schedule, I am there every day except Wednesday. Send anyone by and I will put them on a demo Buell. Thanks to all of you for the word of mouth campaign...we are slowly but surely making a difference in this building. |

Every time I close the throttle on the Scg now, I'm expecting to see fire belching out of this Drummer! That is a guttural sound that just adds to the experience of riding a Buell. People two lanes over look to see what's coming on the interstate from behind them. The best part is now I no longer have to make excuses for this bike. In the past, sitting in the parking lot, people swoon over the translucent plastics, marvel at the short wheel base and always ask the question... What is it? During this period, I love to talk about the Trilogy of Technology and watch their eyes light up as the realize... that makes sense! Then I would dread hitting the start button as I know the next comment will be either: 1. Sounds like a sewing machine or 2. Sounds like a lawn mower! NEVER AGAIN!!! |
