jc, I maybe able to meet you guys at Deckers on Sunday. My plans are fluid right now. It was a great Buell day today. I rode my S2T and S1W and was able to test ride a 1125r as well. The only bike that got neglected was the XB.... |

anyone heading north today should swing by Greeley. Wild West Motorsports (greeley harley) is holding the metric open house, bunch of hoopla, free food and giveaways. I'm stuck behind the counter all day, so any Buellers swinging in stop on the metric side and find Jeff,, make me jealous that you're riding! |

Anyone in or around fort collins help me with a TPS reset on an 05 firebolt? Hey I couldn't find the exact thread. But it involved preignition from 3k rpm up to about 4k rpm. The solution seemed to be a tps reset. My bike does this but only during certain times. Like cruising at highway speeds or slow accelleration in traffic. If I am riding hard it seldom does this. If anyone around Fort collins/ Northern Colorado has the equipment to do a TPS reset on my bike it would definitely be worth a six pack or some dinner to me. Just message me on here and I'll get back to you. ps. From reading the service manual it says to hook up the fluke meter. Is this a special Buell meter made by fluke or just a digital multimeter? If its just a multimeter I could probably do my own reset with alittle friendly instruction. Thanks for any help |

Frank, If we leave Morrison on time (9:00am), we should be in Deckers around 10:00am give or take. You could then ride back with us and you could return back thu the Palmer Lake route. Just a thought, otherwise it will be just good to see ya again. Let me know if you might meet us. JC |

OK, that sounds like a plan. I figured I would leave here at 0900 and take a nice ride up there and figure it out when I get there... Frank |

Fun ride guys...
The way to Deckers was a pretty spirited ride...maybe more than I needed...but it was fun.
On the way back to Denver we even had an opportunity to help out a fellow biker...by lifting his wrecked bike into the back of a pickup truck. Don't worry...it looked like the young guys ego was hurt more than anything else.
Beautiful day for a ride...see ya next time!

Hey Will, Normally Uly's can't corner very well...but since I changed the color to Racing Red it corners much better! Ahhhh, OK...I didn't think anyone would believe that. The truth of the matter is that the Ulysses is still a Buell...so don't let the look fool you! I love this bike, it can hold it's own in the twisties...and it is comfortable enough to ride all day long. I have done a couple cross country trips (with days up to 750 miles) and was not sore at all at the end of the ride (tired yes, but not sore). |

The Gateway Buell ride is this Friday through Sunday and I am looking forward to it. This is an event put on by the Colorado Thunder Club and my first time attending. Last year I attended the Taos Buell Rally put on by the New Mexico and Denver group and it was a lot of fun. I guess it is something about seeing all those Buells in one place. I remember the first meeting of the Altitude Riders with 6 Buells and I thought that was a lot LOL. Dave from the Colorado Thunder Club has informed me that they will meet at RMHD and will leave at 0900. Here is their route: - Hwy 285 to Hwy 50 at Salida (stop in Fairplay at 1030) - Hwy 50 west over Monarch to Gunnison for lunch - West to Montrose, Delta and up to Whitewater. - At Whitewater, turn west onto Hwy 141 into Gateway Saturdays Ride: - Hwy 141 to Vancorum (just north of Naturita) - West onto Hwy 90 and into Utah where it changes numbers to Hwy 46. I will most likely take a Southern route and will hopefully see the rest of the group West of Salida. Frank

Finally, 10K. Went for a ride to Deckers on Sat and finally hit 10,000 miles. Was hoping to get it a lot sooner, but I made it!!! What a beautiful day to ride, too. Dan has been experimenting with the ECMspy program and WOW, those bikes are running sweet. Hardly any vibration and as Dan says "it pulls like a freight train". Just a couple of pictures. Dan's TT is now yellow.

Hi Frank, Hope you're feeling better. Dan and I will be taking a Bike only trip for one week in July and the Gateway area is on our list of places to visit. We did it last year and it is beautiful out that way. We'll probably start out towards Steamboat Springs, then head down towards Grand Junction to ride thru the national park out that way. Can't remember the name of the park. Last year we put on just over 1500 miles and sought out as many twisties as we could find. Hope you guys had a great trip. We were thinking about you all. |

Hi Everyone, If you want to go on a slower paced ride to Deckers, we will be leaving the Morrison Conoco at 9:00am. I will be riding with a fairly new rider so I plan to take it easy for a change and enjoy the scenery. Maybe I will see a few of you, if not have a Great weekend. Dan |

Dan and I are going to camp out at the Walmart parking lot in Canyon City on Sat in our new (old) RV. The plan is to get down there in the morning on Sat and take a ride down thru the Bishops Castle area making a loop. On Sunday we'll try to head over towards the Salida area. We have a 23' Class C and it will have a 16' enclosed trailer attached. If anyone is in the area and would like to join us, my cell phone is 303-589-8150. |

Hi everyone, This is the 1st Sunday of the month so some of you will meet at the dealership and then go to breakfast in Morrison. I plan on skipping breakfast and leaving the Morrison Conoco at 8:00 am to go on a ride as I have a busy day and want to get home fairly early. If I don,t see you at the Conoco, Enjoy your breakfast and have a good ride. Dan |

Jack, The club meets in Morrison at the Red Rocks Grill on main street at 10:00am for breakfast and then we do some sort of a ride afterwards. The riders that live to the south meet at Rocky Mt. Harley/Buell dealership I think around 8:30am or so for a ride up Deer Creek and around then back to Morrison for breakfast. Tomorrow Dan is meeting at the Conoco at C470 and Morrison road for a ride at 8:00am per the posting above. Hope to see you. JC |

Zac and Jammin, I am glad you were both working hard yesterday. Lynn and I decided to go up there at the last minute. I did get a chance to look at a couple of XTs at PPHD on the way home but will not buy from them. They had two with different prices. The one they used for demos was 500 over MSRP. I can only guess the new Red one was 1000 over but did not check. While Zac and Dave were hard at work I had a nice discussion with a young man in sales that knew Buells. It is so rare to find a sales person that has a clue about the bikes on the floor much less about the history of them. I wish I got his name. What a 100 percent difference in HCHD and PPHD. I was at PPHD talking about the XT (I was standing next to it) and the salesperson told me what a great off road bike it was. ???? Another sales person asked me what I rode and I said Firebolt and she said they were nice bikes and the only Buell she could touch the ground on????? I hate to see a dealership that has no respect for the brand. I do not blame sales people because they sell so many different brands, Aprilia, Guzzi, some South Korean bike, scooters, OCC Choppers and of course Harleys. And to top it off you can get a Aprilia jacket and Guzzi hat and OCC T-shirts but not one piece of Buell gear. It is almost impossible to keep up with that many different brands of bikes. Anyway, I may wait to see the fallout for next years contracts and see if I have a job before I get one. Frank (Message edited by f_skinner on June 08, 2008) |

Well, Dan and I took out our dirt bikes on Sat and went to the Woodland Park area. Mainly stayed on the ATV/MC trails cause this was my first official time in the real world dirt bike country. I think I did pretty good. It was really beautiful out there. It was kinda interesting tho, being in the middle of the burn area. This coming Sat we have put together a Memorial Ride for our friend Frank who passed away last Feb. So far, it looks like there may be 24 people and 16 bikes going. We'll be heading up to Estes Park via Golden Gate Parkway then up Peak to Peak Hwy. It's suppose to be a beautiful day. Dan's putting on new tires tonite. He's trying the Continental Road Attack tires. He went up one size. They look pretty sweet. Can't wait for him to ride and let me know how he likes them, cause I might want to try them too Anyway, y'all have fun out there and hope to see you soon. |
