Love my ULYSSES more and more every time I ride the damn thing! I know that every motorcycle needs it's own tweaks to suit the individual rider. Does anyone have the tweak for the mirrors. They seem to BLUR more than being clear? Bar ends , different mirrors? Thanks . . . |

A lot of guys favor the Aprilia Tuono mirrors, for looks rather than function and from what I gather the reflection, although more stable seems to be more restricted. The problem with the AT's is that they are hard to come by. I thought of changing but then I subscribe to the 1st rule of Italian riding which is 'Whats behind is not important'. Besides, I have decided to keep my bike as 'Stock' as possible. Because A. I'm lazy and B. I'm a tight wad. |

I also happen to be a lazy tightwad, but I did spring for the Tuono mirrors, and found the ambition to install them. Glad I did, much less "blur", and they look nice. Found an Aprilia dealer close by and paid (I think) about 30 bucks. now I need a nap |

I have on the HVMP barends and they helped the vibs a bit but not enough that I would suggest they are a fix. They do a great job at protecting things when you lay her down. I will say with that I would suggest the HVMP barends. I would definitely buy them again. |

I put a set of Aprilia Tuono mirrors on my Uly. Not for the looks, 'cause I think they look ugly; but because they allow me to see more than just my shoulders and elbows. They also vibrate a bit less than the stock mirrors. I hear that the HVMP bar ends, in combination with the Tuono mirrors will almost completely eliminate the vibration. I can't say, since I haven't tried it yet. I'm going to put a Throttlemeister throttle lock on my XT, soon. I'll report on whether it helps the vibration or not. |

I have the Touno mirrors, HVMP end bars and the KLR anti vibration stem. The combo does a pretty good job. Not perfect, but much better than stock. |

Here is a little write up I did about 5 months ago on the "Mirror Vibration Isolators". http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/323132.html?1197414564 I still like them, not that the vision is perfect...but a little shake is better than the blur! Plus they extend my mirror up about an inch which seems to help with my visibility. (Message edited by maximum on May 18, 2008) |

I have the HVMP bar ends *and* the the Tuono mirrors. As good as I've had on any bike in 40 years. Got the bar ends first. Some improvement, but the combo is what did it. |
