Gary- I've got a CAD file of the bracket on my work computer. Email me at scott dot jeffers at tetratech dot com and remind me to send it your way, and if you want it in DWG, DXF, or PDF.
JP- you got enough stock to cut another firebolt bracket?

I gotta make one more "Tweak" to that Cadd file so we can get a Bolted connection on each side of the upper ear's. I've been meaning to do it so we can get Greg a bracket also. All this Baseball with my kids has had me on the go lately. Then it will be a true "Bolt on".
I took some measurements yesterday while the fairing was/is off. I should just order another sheet (thicker) so I can change mine as well. Mine is held on the side's with a zip tie, as them side's were a bit short to reach the side mounting bolt hole's. Trial and error on my part I guess. It works but I'd like the bolted connection's better. |

Wow, thanks for the quick response. Eric – if I understand it correctly, you are making a revised one for Greg and yourself. I would like one as well. So, let me know how much for the material, time, and any other expenses.

Yup I got some stock left...not sure if it's enough...I'll measure it up next time I'm down stairs and I'll open up the work laptop and double check the dwg.
You suck if your going to change the design AGAIN!!! I have to reprogram the jet again...
...oh well!

Jeff,i've got a high end Schwinn/w hydraulic disks,CF rear suspension(Mert Lawwill design),basically a "freeride" suspension(forks currently in dilapidated condition).

The Cafe style is cool, but chrome on an XB is gay. Rattlecan them bitches. Or don't, it's your gay bike. How's it feel when you're riding? Oh wait, Eric already answered that question...

well seeing as i don't ride it i imagine it's really cool...ya douches!
yes Scotty all the parts are coming off tomorrow for paint...the chrome doesn't work for me either, today was just the fit-up and cable reroute.
went out for about 45 min when the wife got in from work and the new position(insert another gay joke here) was great very aggressive and felt awesome in the corners a lot more room to stretch out, felt like a whole new bike.
so if ya like it cool, if ya don't right back at ya

OK we have 10 & 5/8" left of stock x 11 & 15/16" wide.
That is just enough for two, JUST, IF you don't make the bracket any taller.
The current design is 9.95" wide...not a lot of room to make it wider but some.
No problem with the design change...It should only take about 15 minutes to re-program the jet.

We were at the Barn this AM. Then rode around 'Lil Compton and Westport.

Was at the Barn right at 9am pulled saw my boss called had a Tech. out I'am Senior Tech. so off to work I go. My loss, but I need the O.T.. This week is my week to be on call.

so i had posed the question to you guys about coming up for a ride next weekend and other than Greg not much response...so it looks like it may have been for the best. apparently i have things planned that i was unaware of till now, my inlaws are coming up to visit and see my girls before their birthday, and my sister inlaw(jimmah's wife) and my wife NEED to go baby shopping, so i got the kids. i still have nothing planned for saturday so if the weather ends up good and any of you guys wanna hook up down your way i could make the trip...let me know. as far as getting together up here, we got a lot of summer left i'm sure we'll fit it in. |
