its been a horrible thursday! i get up early to take it and drop it off at the dealer for her first service and head off to work. i get to the dealer and get all flustered cuz im late, and their building is under construction with big machinery. i pull into a parking spot and hurriedly flick kickstand down! (I VEVER DO THAT!) well, it didnt go down. i got off her, leaned her into the sidestand that is not where i thought it to be. and down she started to go. well, i was not guna let the ground have her w/o a fight! so i tried to catch her with just my arms cuz i was off balance. managed to dislocate my right shoulder, but i was still, not going to let her go down!so i ever so gently set her on my foot. then i had to pick her up with one arm! so, not only was my shoulder killing me, so was my pride! the flashers were going off, and stuff, i had no idea what was going on! lol. then to top it off, i got to work, spilled scalding hot coffee on my left hand, and then had to unload a semi by hand full of 37 thousand pounds of garage doors! fun fun!!! man does my shoulder hurt! but it feels great on my bike again!!! lol. she has some VERY small scratches, sad!

You seem to have a pretty good attitude about things, all considered. You're a lucky guy.

there are fewer more ebarassing situations for dropping your scooter than right in front of the dealership!!!

i highly recommend the 'i dropped it thread' here in the 1125 section, to make you feel better... more people here drop it than you would probably expect, so dont feel bad hahaha

Royce,

I feel for you man, having dropped my 1125R three times and having dislocated my shoulder several times, but, fortunately, never at the same time!!!

Rest your shoulder and rehabilitate it (there are specific exercises you can do to help prevent a recurrence).

I recently ordered left-side radiator cowl... only $55. Comparatively speaking, for a fairing-laden bike, the 1125R is cheap to drop.
